Just wondering if anyone has heard of them. I stumbled upon their site looking for an extra bolt for my old Vetterli powder burner. Is it a domestic manufactured gun, or is it made in China and licensed for the Stoeger?!? Just thought I'd ask. tjk

Chinese............

Those guns are made in China. A.F. Stoegers was for decades the premier gun house in the
US. Now, Bennelli USA owns the name, and in turn Bennelli is owned by Beretta of Italy. Bennelli is using the name to sell cheap airguns, just as Umarex is doing with names such as Walther and Hammerli.

Kinda thought so. Thanks for the input Peak and Dave. They are rather hansome looking "BB-Guns"!! LOL's tjk

What premier guns did Stoeger import? I thought they were an importer of chiefly inexpensive foreign guns such as Boito shotgus, Belgian flintlocks, etc. Did they sell high quality guns, as well? Seems these airguns are on a par with the old Stoeger.

foreign names such as Luger, Mauser, Webley & Scott for instance, and domestics like Smith & Wesson and Winchester. I have two air rifles made by Piepers of Herstal, Belgium, imported by Stoegers sometime around 1950. Just about any maker from Europe or America was carried by Stoegers at one time or another. They have been selling guns since the early 20th Century, 1920 or so. Their old catalogs are collector items, dating back to the early 1920s, some having 400-500 pages.
