How does Gamo attach the scope rail on the Shadow Supremes?  Is it tacked on?  Not like the removable base type.

Thanks in Advance,

RedFeather

On my Gamo Shadow Supreme there are two allen screws that that actually hold the riser on.

My Shadow Supreme is just like my Varmint Hunter circa 2004.  The rail has three shallow depressions which are either for stops or they are tack welds, then a smaller hole at the rear that goes all the way down to the compression tube (for a stop pin?)  I see no screws in through the top.  Does your SS have visible receiver grooves?

(I thought you might be hanging around.  Asked this twice now with no luck.)

Well it looks like I was wrong Red. I checked my new Gamo 440 which has the same riser on it and no scoope so yes it has 4 shallow holes with one stop pin hole. I would bet that those are part of the riser which is welded to the action. I never had a problem with them before. I have always ued accushot 1 piece mounts on mine and use the stop pin hole for the mount stop.
