How do they compare to, say, CPL's when it comes to long range accuracy and the ability to shoot well in a number of guns?
-
I have used the .177 Pro mags. Cabelas here has a 750 count pack that's a good value. I think they shoot comparably with the CPL's. They seem to a good job in my B-26, Hunter Elite and BSA Lightning. I find domed pellets with a slightly longer skirt all shoot better in my guns.

I tried one 750 tin and probably 40% were way undersized.
-
Or were they so undersized that you didn't even try 'em?
-
I've used them and they work pretty good in a gun that likes them. The earlier batches were more uniform in size though. I'll give them a try again soon and if the uniformity issue is still there then I'll pass on them. The price is good compared to some other domed pellets. I think they are not quite up to a good batch of unsorted CPs in the box in the accuracy department.

I tried them when they first came out and nothing I owned at the time liked them . I gave them to Gene , he said they shot pretty good for him. So IMO it all depends on the gun. I have found out since that if your gun has a choked barrel , it'll shoot a lot of different pellets well . kirby

I also use them for hunting with good result's at longer ranges.:) My Gamo's, B26's and RWS's shoot them with great result's. My B's really like them. I always keep a tin on hand. :) Ed

I have a couple of rifles that shoot them extremely well, although I haven't tried them for hunting yet,,,,, but if Ed says they perform well on game then that's good enough for me :)

I have tried them and they seem quite accurate but they seem too loose .
