How do you deal with the scopes where POI of impact changes when you increase the magnification? I have Condor with 6x24x50 Leapers scope and I noticed that POI changes from setting 6 to setting 12. I heard that some scopes don't have this problem( if you can call it a problem, maybe it is not if you kow how to deal with it) and some do. Do I have to record POI at every magnification setting or what?
If anybody has scope like that could you share how you go about with it, please?
Thank you

That problem occurs in a lot of lower priced scopes. They also dim and lose sharpness at higher magnifications. Also the click adjustments are not always linear. You pretty much get what you pay for in scopes. A $400 Leopold won't have those problems but who wants to put a $400 scope on a $200 air rifle.

Tonaka,
If your scope is moving the POI around with magnification changes, I would send it back and get another one. You can't deal with that kind of situation. You might consider a better scope. What do you use such high magnifications for? Good luck...

Tonaka . I hope you are not offended here . I realize you have a 600 dollar rifle here not a 200 dollar rifle and I am sure this was just a over sight . Other than trying to re - adjust the A. O. after you change magnification I have nothing to offer . You might P.M. Kirby he does F.T. with heavy magnification and might be able to give you better insight .Marvin

The $200 was just making a point, not offending Tonaka. An old time rule of thumb was you spent half as much as you spent on the rifle on a scope. I buy low priced scopes myself but I don't buy variable power scopes. Don't see much need for them on an air rifle. Buying fixed power scopes eliminates two potential problems right away.
