Here is the beautiful little air rifle Gene Curtis was kind enough to not only order for me, but also tune and add a custom MB. What great service from a good friend! The wife and I are about to leave town for parts unnamed for an adult vacation, flying out later today. But this morning, I was up early and over coffee spotted this one slipping up on the bird feeders. My only two air rifles yet to score a nutter are the Walther LGR-U and the new CZ-634, and this felt like a CZ-634 kind of morning to me.
So, here is another of the "fifty ways to kill your nutter": You just slip out the back Jack . . . load a predator, push the safety back . . . pull the trigger and "crack WHACK!" . . . your CZ scores in the black . . .

Some back ground on Tommy's CZ 634. When I bought it, I got the last one at $139.00. Just under the price change. Now he is selling them for $199.00. I gave his Slava the same tune that I did on my Slava and also on the one Peak Chick now own's. A thorough tune including a smooth light trigger. With one exception with Tommy's Slava. He wanted me to incorporate a front sight on the muzzle brake so he could use it without a scope or with a scope. We spent a couple hours in my shop the day he picked it up designing a front sight that he could use with plenty of up and down rear sight adjustment. The from sight is also adjustable as well. Tommy is a perfectionist when it comes to shooting with complete accuracy and that is something we kinda share together..:) I like to hit what I shoot at and for sure Tommy is very picky as well. Once the machining and fitting was done Tommy sighted in his new baby and had a great big smile on his face and said that is just perfect for me. The Slava CZ 634 after a proper tuning will shootin the mid 700 fps range. They are very accurate air rifles and very comfortable to hold in my opinion as well as Tommy's.

Thanks all. I will have to owe you some close ups of the front sight when I get back, as well as a review of the CZ. But basically, Gene tapped a hole for a set screw in the MB, then turned and threaded a piece of aluminum stock about 3/8 ths inch in diameter as a front post. The set screw in the MB tightens to the barrel and the post screws down on about 1/4 inch of the screw extending above the MB, like a lock nut. Gene and I played with getting the post height right for about the center of the range of adjustment for the rear sight. Finally, another set screw goes in the top of the machined post and is backed out just enough to fill the vertical height of the slot on the rear sight. Everything set with blue LockTite.
The sight picture comes up very nicely. Too high on the front sight and you see a big, shiny aluminum post that is easy to bring in line and drop just below the notch. Works pretty well even in low light. And of course, the front post can be unscrewed and replaced with a short set screw cut flush to the MB if you want to remove the front sight. The machined aluminum post makes it much less fragile, and substantially better looking than about a half-inch of threaded bolt sticking out of the end of the muzzle.

Great shot on that nutter with your just acquired CZ air rifle. Very beautiful gun.....especially with the metallic looking muzzlebrake. Have fun in your getaway.....
