: Career Air bleed
: kiwi December 19, 2008, 06:00:16 PM
Hi guys... I finaly got my new Career Infinity charged
so I could get the scope zeroed in.
Hopefuly if the rain stops I will be out early tomorrow
morrning to take a few bunnys with it. But one thing
I have came across after I finished shooting there is NO
way I could fined to bleed the remaining air from the gun
other than shooting it till is almost empty.
So dose anyone know if theres a way to bleed a Career down
after use. The Evanix has a bleed screw but the Career
dosn't seem to have anything "That I can fined"
I hate leaving the gun charged after use, putting a strain
on seals etc.

Peter, PCP's are designed to be left charged, I keep mine filled all the time.  I shoot frequently, so I top up my guns after a session so they're ready for either the next session, or marauding starlings and sparrows :-).  If I was going to put one in storage, I'd drop the pressure to maybe 1000 psi, but I wouldn't empty the tank.  The only reason you should need to drain the air is if you need to work on the tank, or you're transporting your rifle by air.  FAA regs require pressure vessels be empty.  Hope that helps.
