I had an order of B-26's come in today and there was a minor screw up...I now have 4 D-18 Canadian Hunters that were returned to Xisico , all the boxes are marked B-26 so I figure thats why I got them...even have the B-26 manuals in them. They all cock and shoot OK but have scratches on the stocks so I figure thats why they got sent back, what should I do with them? Sell them for the cost of shipping, have a contest and give them to the winners or what?????? there are three .177's and one .22, tell me what to do....
-
Mike you already have a heart of GOLD buddy and do superb work on the shooter's, there might be some interested folk's in buying one and doing some stock mods on em. :) Are they tunable, don't think that I've seen one of them myself. Ed
-
I had a bunch of these last spring and they do respond good to a lube job, big problem is getting the trigger to lighten up, a little polishing and some moly and they get down in the 4 lbs range...it's a fancy B-11
-
I second Eds post & have a question. Is a D-18 a B-26 with lower velocity or is there more differences?
Mike
-
They are much different, I think they are a copy of the RWS 24 which hasn't been in production for quite awhile..
-
Just what it's going to be I don't know yet but will have something tomorrow...stop by the site and check it out...airgunartisans.com/flyingdragon.......
-
EM sent Mike, tjk
-
Have a Drawing....Take every participating member of the site (might take a while) and randomly pull a name. If the winner wants the gun, have him/her pay shipping.
-
If they are like the RWS 24's, those are pretty nice shooters. I have had the opportunity to tune a couple of them and they sure are sweet..:)
-
Does it look like this Mike?
-
That sure looks like them Gene,
-
I'll be having another answer the question contest for a matching set of the D-18's, one in .177 and one in .22, bonus question will get a lube tune on both rifles....
-
Ok Mike lay it on us. I'll give it my best shot. I could use some good news.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)

The questions are on his web site, under the announcements. Darn tough ones too. I did a search here and that place that shall be un-named and got nothin'. Maybe I didn't use the right keywords. Good Luck all.

Say Mike:
You didn't serve on the Cacafuego did you? Oh yeah, that's right. No submarines to tend in those days. Once the ship of the line became a submarine, there wasn't much tending going on.
Wait! I remember the answer! It's " The Royal" !!!
PS: have you read all of Patrick O'Brian's seafaring novels? If not, you are in for a treat.
-
Mike, I almost forgot that you had sent me a D-18 .177 last spring to check out. I remembered late last night and dug her out. She looked like you had given her a tuen with new apex seal. I found out after I tore into her..:) So I added a few touches of my own and put her back together today and she shoots just under 600 fps. I also noticed that you had touched up the trigger as well, so I did not touch the trigger. But anyway for sure that would be an excellent air rifle for a young person or a woman just getting into air guns. Maybe a wife of and addict..:)

I spent the better part of the morning trying to figure out those questions and ended up chasing the wrong Mike Melick around the Navy:(
-
Don't feel bad Dano. I've spent just about all day and could only come up with the name of the base. lol what a zinger
-
Ruth Ann guessed Assault Craft Unit Two out of Little Creek which is correct, shes still working on what I did for a job...slacking off and drinking beer isn't the right answer.....
