: Benjamin Discovery .22 short review

I got a new Benjamin Discovery .22 a couple weeks ago and I love it.  I really like the short length and light weight which makes it very nice to carry around.  It is also a very nice looking rifle.

It is very accurate.  I use JSB Predators which shoot excellent in my gun. (I've heard that a lot of peoples' Discos don't shoot them that well though.)  With the Preds I can shoot under an inch ( .45 - .75 )@ 50 yards and less than 2 inches @ 75 yards on a calm day.  This is off of shooting sticks and while sitting in a comfortable chair.
The gun shoots many pellets well so you should be able to find a cheaper pellet for plinking.  I use the Preds for hunting and the Gamo Hunters for plinking which have a close POI to each other.

From a 1700 psi fill I get roughly 25 shots without any change in POI.  The Discovery also has plenty of power.  It isn't hard to pump up the Discovery but does get your heart pumping.

I highly recommend the Benjamin Discovery .22 for those that want an accurate and well balanced PCP without spending a pile of cash.  I am really happy with mine.  Can't wait till the spring when the starlings and grackles come back so I can test it out hunting. ( sadly squirrel season is over until next fall so I can't take it squirrel hunting)

P.S.  My Benjamin Discovery is completely "stock" except for an extra barrel band ( added to keep muzzle from moving when handling. It didn't make any difference in accuracy that I can tell but it does make the gun look tougher/ stonger built and gives you more comfort knowing the barrel won't move. )
