Perhaps it would be appropriate to call Tim and ask. Oh and if you choose to do so, no need to SHOUT. :(
"To place your order either give us a call during business hours (11-6 Mon, Tue, Fri & Sat) at 310-327-3581 or email us with the information at mac1airgun@gmail.com."

HAHA,sorry man. hate to call, dont want to bug him, besides i just got in the mail monday. not rushing,he can take all the time needed. just bored and looking for ballpark.

I went to visit his shop in early December during a family vacation in the area. After he told me what they do to a Discovery I thought out loud "I should have brought down my Discovery and giving it to you during my visit". He told me that it would have taken him "less than a week" to get to it and finish it. He also mentioned that if I ever decided to send it that I only need to send the action and not the stock.
I dont think you should be bashful in calling him. I talked to him on the phone on Monday and he was telling me all kinds of information.... How he can push a pellet thru a barrell and feel how smooth it was, about some championship guns, etc.
Finally, I bought a Disco from him at around noon on Monday, got a UPS shipping notification 3 hours later, and got my package on Weds.

Yea i really wish i would have just bought one from him to start with, but im new to airguns and never even heard of him or any modder untill a week ago.I called him on friday last week and had mine in the mail this past monday.Very exited!! Im also a big time small game hunter, thats one reason i was wondering how long it ussually takes(seasons counting down). When it gets back to me im going to video tape some predator hunting and see how it holds up on foxes, bobcats and coyotes from 50 yds or so.CANT WAIT!!!i'll post a link when i do.

I hate to be the one to tell you but you are going to be way under gunned for 'Foxes, Bobcats and Coyotes. You video will show you wounding and maiming animals. You had better allow yourself some time to learn about your equipment and your abilities with it.

Yea, i was going to turn the power adjuster high as possible and shoot it on the chrony and test its accuracy at a higher fps,and then do some research and see how many ft lbs it would take to dispatch them.I have seen vids on youtube of a fox being dropped with a head shot from 35 yds. i think he was using the aa 410 and jsb exacts. Havebt done the research yet but sure it is possible.if i can shoot 30 ft lbs ,i dont think a head shot from 40yds or below will be a problem.Have to do my research though.

I don't think a Disco would have any trouble dropping a fox at 30 yards with a good head shot. I'd use predators if they shot well in my gun.....

And I think your chances of getting within 30 yards of said fox to make that 'head shot' are ZIP!

Well D R you gave the answer in knowing your equipment and having the ability to use it...:) There are some of the GTA members that have all the ability and know what each air rifle is capable of doing and what is a proper distance to take down there game. Jeff is one of them. If you look back in the Hunting Gate you will understand what I am saying. Jeff is an excellent marksman and truly understands what game he can take at what distance with which air rifle. He practices good hunting judgment and would not take a shot unless he knew for sure it would do the job.

thanks gene. your welcome dr

Hi D R,,
It is possible to get within 30 yards of a fox, I've done it. It's not easy but it can be done.
As for the Disco,,, I had one in .22 cal and after doing quite a bit of shooting and chrony testing with the rifle I would not hesitate to take a head shot on a fox because I know it has the power to take the animal out cleanly with proper shot placement. There have been quite a few GTA hunters who've taken out large raccoons with springers that are less powerful than the Disco, myself included, so taking out a fox with a Disco is certainly possible.
However, that being said,,, each airgunner needs to decide for themselves what they feel comfortable hunting with their airguns based on their experience with said airguns.
If I choose to go after a fox with a Disco that fine... If you feel the Disco is not sufficient for the job and choose not to that's fine also.

Yes it is possible to get within 30 yards of a fox, having him agree to the 'head shot' may be a problem!

"Well D R you gave the answer in knowing your equipment and having the ability to use it...:)" You are so right Gene and having done to many times what I can to save pellet shot animals know the out-come.

So nice to know 'Jeff' is such a marksman and responsible hunter! I'm sure a fox could care less.

I would bet on longislandhunter if he has a Disco in hand and a fox appeared 30 yards away...... Whatever, it's all about shot placement and knowing your and your airgun's limitations.
-
D R, I somehow feel that you are being a bit arrogant to our replies.. We have many members on the GTA with some very special skill sets. With that said you could understand the GTA members much better if you would read some past posts that they have made. Also many of there post's are accompanied with pictures which in itself tells a story.
-
D R ,,
Apparently this is a subject you feel very strongly about and that's fine however it's plain to see that further responses to your remarks, at least by me, would be a waste of time so this will be my last. I just wanted to say I will be looking forward to your future posts, on other topics, I wish you well and I would also like to commend you for your efforts to help wounded wildlife. I have taken care of my share of injured wildlife in my days and I know the time and effort it takes, I sincerely commend your efforts.
Shoot ofter D R ,,, shoot straight and take care.

The members like Jeff and myself and several others always practice safe and knowledgeable hunting. One of our main goals is to take down game cleanly with the least amount off suffering. We also have great respect for Mother Nature and the animals the live there, I myself have also cared for many injured animals and returned them to the wild to live out their life. We consume what we take from Nature and do everything to give back when we can. Our passion for hunting go's hand in hand with our passion to care for Mother Nature . Know the man then you will know the hunter in the man or woman. Ed

A properly placed shot with the disco could take out a fox agreed. I would suspect that a sling shot could take it out as well if the shot were properly placed. I'm thinking that I take great care in placing perfect shots on big game here in Wash. State that the thought of trying to take a fox out humanly with the Disco at 30 yrds give or take is less then wise if you like the one shot one kill philosophy. Then again I know some folks who just dont care. My opinions only.
P.S. Opinions are like butt holes, everyone has one and most of them stink.

yes. i did that. it took 11 days counting the day i sent it and the day it came back. sent on a monday and was back on thursday the next week. john
