Well I took my first stab at making my own 22 cal extended probe bolt for my 1322. Turned out pretty good first time through. Getting the angles for the right fit in the barrel was tricky but after that it all fell together. I'll make a brass handle to go with it next. I've tested it out in a breech and loaded it up and it works great..:) You sure can do some cool things with these little machines. The ones from Crosman have a bit to much play in them so I left a little more brass on this one about .005 and that seemed to take care of the play compared to the stock versions.

Hey Joben...they are nice for sure. Once you get them tweeked they run out pretty good and you can do alot with them as long as you dont go to big. The mill helps alot also. You need a place where you can make a mess cuz they do just that...hehe. I got a chip tray but it still makes a pretty good mess after a night of turning...lol.
I made my first extended 22 bolt last night and was shooting with it today and it works great.
I have the probe set so the pellet skirt is seated right on the edge of the rifling after the barrel port. Makes a big difference in accuracy.

Jealousy is definately on the tip of my tounge. I want a lathe and a mill BAD! I have a huge Bridgeport machine at work, but it's not really accessable for airgun parts:(
I just got one of Roy Weids bolts with the huge handle, and already had one of Art's bolts, they sure do make a difference, you can feel the "human touch" spent on them compared to the Crosman bolts that come with the steel breach sets. Looks like alot of fun, someday I'll get to play too:)
Nice work!
