Here is a little mod I did on my under barrel you can do this too on either a under barrel or a side lever , please excuse the pictures they could have come better but as you can see it is kind of like a jeweled bolt but since I don't have a bolt I jeweled the chamber. LOL  howie

I jeweled the hammer and trigger on one of my Ruger Blackhawks and did a bolt for my .303. I've been contemplating jeweling my B30. Now I think I am going to do it. Thanks for pushing me over the edge Howie.  As far as doing the deed, you can pick up jeweling brushes or rubber tips for your dremel or drill press. A small amount of abrasive paste is applied to the tip and then you make 1/4-1/2 overlapping circles. To get a really nice finish, it's best to use a jig to hold the work straight and have a way to index it rotationally. Sorry to hijack your thread Howie. I got a bit carried away. Looks great!

Google jeweling and you will get hits.  Places sell bits to do it.  There is another name for jeweling on machinery and I can't think of it.

Hi we do that all the time on stainless steel machine panels.
very simple.....We use a 115 grinder with a flat face scothbrite
pollishing pad "Dremmal for gun parts"
Just push the pad on to the peice On & Off "NOT moveing the pad around"
then repete it beside the area you just done have a 30/50% overlap
keep repeteing till the hole peice is done.
If the surface is curved rock the pad a bit.

It will take yer about 2 secs to work it out.

I liked the looks of Howie's jeweling so much, I decided to give my B30 some flash. It also helps retain lubricant in the minute swirls.

Looks good very nice I ended up taking the gun apart to put the chamber in my vice and used the vise as a straight edge moving the chamber a small rotation to put the next line on till I came to the end . howie

I've lurked and learned so much from this forum, heres a chance for me to maybe give a little back. I found this tutorial on jeweling a bolt for Mauser rifles along time ago. I'm sure it can easily be adapted to doing the chambers and other parts for AG's.
