Got confirmation this morning that my long time friend and I will be shooting new Mike Melick tuned .177 B-26's next weekend. For all of you people with B-26's what is your favorite pellet for accuracy at longer distances like 20 yds and beyond? I'd just like to thin down the selection to what is most likely.

Charlotte, my favorite pellets for 20-40 yd. shooting are JSB Exacts, and Crossman Premiers. One of those two always gets the job done for me.

Well Charlotte, you got it straight from whom I consider my/ our very own GTA "Pellet Guru"!!!! Steph turned me on to the .22 JSB's Exact Jumbos, and I've never looked back. They are in my opinion the 'cream of the crop' of all pellets. I like to shoot a few others in my .177's, but the only JSB's I've used are the Preds in this caliber. Beeman FTS, Cro-Mags, and Silver-Bears,....but they might be a tad light with the B-26,...I'm not sure. I'm not a huge RWS fan but the SD's shoot really well in my .22 (.177 not as well in my paqrticular rifles but no two rifles are the same either!!!!!), so you may give them (.177) a 'shot' too. Hope your friend have success finding the ideal pellet for the B-26!!!! tjk
PS, I'm sorry I cut in Steph. I just realized the I'm posting this out of "postular" order,....I'll do better the next time. Promise!!!

Or maybe not?!?!?! How'd that happen???? Never claimed to be a computer genious!!! LOL's tjk

C:
Beeman FTS, JSB Exacts or CP's. In .177, I have had excellent results with the FTS, but the other two are also very good. Coming from Mike, the barrels will be clean as a whistle, but it may take a couple of hundred rounds to burn off any residual lubricants inside the compression chamber and season the barrel before you begin to see how really "schweet" the MM B26 will shoot. Sounds like fun. Enjoy.

(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)Hey Charlotte, My best pellet for my B 26 .177cal is the Crosman pointed 7.9gr @ 250 for $3.50 or 1250 for $12.55 at Pyramyd Air, and buy three get the fourth free makes it a bit sweeter. My B 26 is not really pellet picky, she performs well with just about any pellet I have. Crosman Premiers HP, BenjaminPCP HP 10.5gr, Crosman Ultra Magnum 10.5gr, Crosman Wadcutters, all RWS pellets and all Gamo pellets. just to name a few. .....Shoot Safe......Shoot Straight and Enjoy.....Bill(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)

Charlotte,
I have a stock B26 Sporter in .22 and I'm currently using:
Ruko Match (Gamo seconds?), Benjamin Domes, Beeman Bearcub domes, Winchester(Daisy) domes, Predator polytips, Gamo Match.
The Ruko's are OK for general plinking or initial scope sight-in.
The Gamo Match are decent out to about 30yds but for moderate to long distance I almost always choose Domes.
My B26 does show much difference between the Ben's or Bearcubs.
The Predators are good but to a slightly different POI.
The Winchesters are new and I haven't tested them at longer distances yet.
Many folks seem to like CPHP's.
Hope this helps.

The wait is killing me. I remember my daughter pestering me in the car on trips when she was little, "Are we there yet?" Scopes and mounts are already on their way.
