i need a little help from you guys on deciding what pcp will fill the last spot in my safe, here is my only restriction i can't spend more than $ 650-690
i have a few in mind but i figure i'll see what you come up with o yea it has to be no smaller than 25 cal and nothing under 850 fps i'm resisting the urge to push the order button untill i get a few replys 8)

Is that 650-690 for the whole set up...rifle, mount, scope, at least some pellets, and some way of generating and filling with high pressure air?

If you want a .25 cal or larger, and your limiting your budget to $690, you will have to get either a Career, Sumatra or Sam Yang PCP. Other companies either don't make them in .25 cal or larger or they do but they cost more than $690.

Nathan

the 690 is for the gun only

If you want a .25 cal. PCP you might look at a BSA Lonestar on AoA's web site. Very good build, accurate powerful (35-40 ft. lbs.) and available in both .22 and .25. Very reasonably priced for a good quality PCP rifle, $595.00 without sights, $695.00 with sights.

Sumatra carbine...but unfortunately, not sure who has them in stock. USED, have been selling in the $325-$375 range. New they are right at $500.
Carbine if you're filling with a hand pump and want a bit less work filling...the full length rifle takes awhile to fill and is a bit on the muzzle heavy side. Pesonally, I like the full length rifles, prefer the muzzle heavy feel. Sumatras definately move enough air per shot to make the long barrel faster (or can look at it this way: long barrel will get you to the same speed as the carbine when dialed down a bit, using a bit less air)
Won't get a lot of shots per fill at +900fps, but can adjust it down to 800fps and get quite a few more shots. Is disproportional, tht small step down in speed works out to more good full power shots than you'd guess.
They are set up so that about the only pellet that works real well at max. power setting is the Eun Jin heavy weights...even the Kodiak's tend to be pushed too fast unless you dial the power down a bit.
Are LOUD...really loud.
----
The one I've held onto is the full length rifle in 5mm, and has been tuned down a good bit. Can shoot those Eun Jin 24gr. pellets to 1040fps, but have it dialed down to 800fps for the last year and probably won't be dialing it back up. Even at that speed with the heavy weights, it's a bit too fast with the normal 5mm 14.3 gr pellets, making a nasty "crack" sound of 1100fps.
--------
CVlose to your limit of $ would be the BSA....nice guns, a bit more refined in some ways. Have a more sane level of power. Can check out Airguns of Arizona for the particulars (if there is another BSA dealer, he's hiding).

A.F. Condor and an extra .25 barrel.

Look for a used rifle on the yellow. Learn your PCP's just like your doing now. Expand your horizons. P

Career Infinity .22 or Evanix AR6
both great shooters
think the Career is a bit more user freindly.
but the evanix is a 6 shot repeter just keep pulling
the trigger till the mags empty
