: QB-78 Trigger
: amidemon January 26, 2009, 03:42:47 PM
Does anyone make, or has anyone made an actual 2 stage trigger for the QB-78 family?

I'd like to add this "improvement" to mine if possible.

Thanks from the FNG

There is a two stage mod using a plunger tip screw to replace the over travel screw, works good, pull the trigger through the first stage until it comes up against the tip of the screw then pull slightly harder and it fires. The screw must be adjusted correctly for it to work right, I will ahve the parts needed in a day or two as I ordered more of the screws and springs last night....

That sounds interesting. You wouldn't have pics of that mod, would you?

sorry no pictures, it's real simple if you have a 6-32 tap to retap the hole for the adjusting screw. if you want you can send the trigger group to me and I can install the kit...

Yep, have a pretty good supply of taps. That mod sounds pretty well straight-forward. I'm just checking my options before I commit. Thanks for the offer though.

..but it's not a true 2-satge trigger, which is what you asked about in your first post.  Can make it feel and act like one, which I suspect is good enough, but it won't really be one.

you may be wrong, a two stage trigger in the first stage moves the trigger part to just before release, as does the plunger type set up. then with slightly more pressure releases the sear as does the plunger type........
