: 5 minute pigeon hunt

Was looking out into the backyard late this afternoon to see if any critters were hanging around the bird feeders and saw 3 pigeons  perched in the trees above the feeders.  Ran down to the basement, grabbed the .22 cal Black Shadow and a couple of Superdomes and as quietly as possible opened the Bilco door basement entrance.  Snuck to the corner of the house,,,,, they were still there.  Put the crosshairs on one near the top of the tree, BAM, fell like a sack of nickels.  The other 2 flitted away but only went as far as the next tree.  Lined up the second bird, BAM, another dead pigeon.  For some reason the 3rd one stayed where it was so I loaded another pellet, put the scope on his chest and a second later he joined his 2 friends.  

Best 5 minute hunt I've had in a long time.  Tomorrow gotta go buy another 50 lb. sack of bird feed :)

I sure wouldn't mind having that happen to me.

That's some good shooting in 5 minutes. 50lbs of bird seed, sounds like your gonna need a bucket of pellets he he he. Happy hunting and HAPPY HOLIDAYS. Ed

Chumming for birds. Thats funny. I should try some feed for when I go quail hunting. These critters never stay still. They're hard to hunt.
