I got a tin of Beeman’s, used it only 3 or 4 times. First of all they are lauder than rimfire ammo’s,
second - I never been able to find a trace of it after the shooting; they are vaporizing,
and last but not least - I’m not sure that kind of damaging effect that will have on the piston (I think there is not enough pressure resistance, so that the piston is slamming into the end of the cylinder very hard).

I read somewhere that it is a good idea to place 2 or 3 of those cleaning pellets at the same time in a springer to avoid damage.
But i never used them.

I use the Beeman cleaning pellets in my 177 and 22 cal airguns and they work well. You do have to insert 2 or 3 into the chamber at a time though in order to provide enough resistance for the piston so as not to cause any damage.

I could never find them after i shot 2 or 3 through the barrel to see if they really cleaned up. I had my doughts so I set up a box to catch them. After running 3 at a time through the barrel, I used my regular cleaning rod and still got black lead residue on the swatches.
For me, it is cheaper to use cotton swatches on a rod or a pull wire with cotton swatches on the end.

I still do the regular "cleaning thing" also, but after a days hunting, or a long target session, I fire a couple of cleaning pellets through the guns to get out some of the buid up. They are a little expensive, especially when you have to use 3 at a time, so I use them judiciously as an aide to regular cleaning.

I never clean my gun barrels that shoot under 1000 fps. My 1000 fps guns get a goo gone cleaning every 1000-1500 rounds.

Oh, you mean those felt thingies Beeman sells? Yep, I have a box somewhere that I bought 12 years ago. I tried them, but they just didn't seem worth the cost for what they did. It's just cheaper and more effective to use clean cotton patches pulled through the bore with fishing line. First one or two with Goo-Gone on them, then a couple more to clean that out. But I must admit, I don't clean the bores on my airguns very often.
BTW - When I shot PCP a lot, I DID clean my pellets. Actually, I sprayed them with a lube that cleaned and lubricated them, then used an old towel to remove the excess.

I alway clean my pellets, you can't belive how much gunk is in a pellet tin, scraps of stringy lead, chunks of other stuff, etc.
I put them in a plastic bag with some mineral Spirits, shake them around
awhile,then lay them out on paper towels till dry.
Then I have another plastic baggy I lube them with napier pellet lube, about 5 or 6drops in the baggy and shake them around for a few minutes. Clean and lubed pallets!
