My first impression after pulling it out of the box was WOW WEEEEEEEEEEEE...:) Good balance, nice wood, great metal finish for a Chinese springer.
I did not have much time left so I took her out to the shop and cleaned the barrel and took a couple shots at the stump..:) Not really that bad. A wee bit of spring twang but very solid. The trigger is a copy of the RWS later triggers which was very impressive. I pulled her all the way down and found an RWS 34 inside..:) Yep exactly the same build including the piston, seal and action. Even had the ball detent for the barrel lock. The cocking linkage was different than the RWS though. Solid metal an none of that layered stuff..:) What I saw was a magnificent replica of the RWS 34. The Chinese did there home work on this baby. I would suspect after they catch on the prices will go up a bit.
Also pushed three CP's accross the chrony. All three shots were over 1050 fps. This will change after a clean up and tune.
I will be doing a full turbo tune with picture layouts tomorrow.
-
Yup Gene and I were chewing the fat about this baby today and from what I'm hearing from my buddy is that we have a great priced shooter and this could be a Diamond in the Rough gang and just imagine what a tune will do for her. :) If this shooter pans out to be a great shooter, better jump on one at these prices before they figure out that there's a Ruger " CRAZE" and kick the prices up on us. :o :0 Ed

Thanks for the first impressions review Gene . Mine should be here tomorrow , probably late . I thin my neighborhood is last on my UPS guy's route. I hope mine doesn't shoot 'em that fast . kirby
-
Mine arrives on Friday the 13th....hope that isn't an omen ;-)
-
I love my Ruger 10/22.. .22lr sounds impressive
-
Well like I said, I did not have much time to do much last night. Yes it does have an articulating cocking linkage that I forgot to mention. Not hard to cock either. I also noticed that the seal was a poly seal which is a great improvement over the nylon seals the Chinese usually use. As far as the high FPS goes, that can be minipulated some. As far as the piston goes it looks very similar to the RWS series pistons. Like I said I did not do a complete close up visual inspection.
-
Gene, 1050 fps seems high. Was the gun dieseling?
-
Just a bit Joe. I am writing up a complete review on it right now with pictures.
-
Hey Gene where did you her from. I have been reading that the gun was close to the 34 that Umarex was going to be sole importer and it would not be labled as a b-25.
-
I have not heard any rumors about it. I first heard from Mike Melick about the new B-25 that he was getting in to test. Apparently these are the same air rifles and right now the prices are good but I have noticed that Pyramyd has up the price a bit since I bought mine and they are out of stock right now. If Umarex gets ahold on these the prices will go sky high. I am betting that Mike will be selling these nice air rifles very soon.
-
I won't be able to sell them, they all have to go to Umarex from what I understand. I'm going to do some research and see what I can come up with....
-
Now that is the pits Mike. You should be able to purchase them. Pyramyd does.
-
I believe they have to go through Umarex also, just checked with Umarex and they will sell me rifles but for $5 more than Pair has them listed for, they will cover my shipping so it should be about the same price or a bit more as I would have to charge shipping to get them to the customer......

I got MINE!!!! :D I got it around 6:10pm about 25 minutes ago. I immediately opened the box , grabbed the Airhawk and after a quick look over , took it and a tin of Superdomes outside and put a couple of them into a tree just outside the backdoor. Then upstairs of my garage to check and see where the sights were set . I shot about 7 or 8 pellets and I could see they were "on paper" fairly center of a Gamo target at 6 meters . So it's back inside , since it's almost dark and a thunderstorm is getting near. Back up to my bonus room 10 meter range and I put a fresh Gamo target up on my heavy duty rimfire trap amd loaded a s-dome at 10 meters ; took aim at the center of the target with the fiber optic sights and squeeeeeeeezed the trigger . It's a 2 stage with a long first stage, I'll tend to that later . Thunk !! I checked where I hit and I was 12 o'clock 6 ring . I tried another and it hit a little higher in the 5 ring. I dropped my aim to 6 o'clock hold and shot 1 more and it hit in the 8 ring low . Two clicks on the rear sight and the next 4 shots were 10's , 3 solid, amd 1 jar licker at 11 o'clock . I'm impressed with this springer right out of the box . Especially one that cost less than $100 delivered to my door. I hope my next one shoots as good as I ordered another before posting. Heehee . I wanted to get another before they sold out. It's no Beeman in fit and finish but it's not bad . I'm owned a cople of RWS 34's and I like the feel of this rifle better than those. It doesn't have that too long feeling , the 34 has . I can't imagine what Gene's shoots like . kirby

Pyramyd is out of stock on them but they did raise the price $5.00.. Hmmm I wonder if there is some price fixing going on?
-
Now I dont know if this is an "older" model" as has been discussed but it comes from Sportmans Guide so I guess you could find out...

-
Hey Kirby, Does yours have the scope stop on it like Gene's?
Thanks
-
Yes , the dovetails look a little short though, I may have to use two piece mounts. kirby
-
Thank you sir!
-
a case of none supply and demand....???????
-
Hurry up and get that update out on this gun Gene!! I almost pressed the button this morning, but figured I'd wait and see what you thought of it after you got a better look at it.
regards, Scott
-

Now I'm really confused. I'm not sure wht xisicos gun would have to go to Umarex when they already own the Ruger Air Hawk and Elite. Never seen 2 clones of the same gun. Xisico was tauting the B-25 new for this year and Umarex already has the Ruger and its been out for awhile. Did the manufacture for the Ruger change somewhere resently. I guess I'm trying to make more out of this than there really is??????
-
Xisico makes the Ruger guns, why they have the B-25 listed as a new product?????? Same guns just different stamping on the reciever, could be the B-25 is what it is called in Canada and other countries...
-
Good point. I guess that means we will never see them sold in the US as the B-25. I saw Compasseco has the AirHawk in snythetic but would need to have my hands on one first. I'm really picky on synthetic stocks. Thanks for the info Mike
-
The one I have has the plastic type stock, fit and finish on the stock is excellent, just transmits any vibration better than wood...when I talked to the folks at Umarex they called it a Black Hawk...as there are two different plastic stocks I have no clue as to which is which....right out of the box the one I have buzzed just like an RWS 34 does when new so it's a good clone if they even reproduced the vibration...LOL
-
Well Mike, it is certain that the Chinese will keep making this new action they have cloned and may sell it with different names, Like the Beeman 950H, AR1000,Hammerili Titan, and TF-89's plus there are even more with same action but sold under different names.
-
LOL. That's pretty good Mike. Other than the vibration how does the stock feel?
-
Now that you have tuned and shot the Ruger how would you compare it to the B26?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Thanks,
Tex
-
Well Tex, I will let you know when I can get the time to take my new B-26 out to shoot. As far as quality, I personally think with the Ruger Air Hawk that I bought that it is as good a quality as the B-26, with one exception that mine has barrel droop. Overall fit and finish is quite nice for a Chinese air rifle at the price it is selling for now.
