If I can figure out which ones to participate in  :-)
10 meters
ISSF/NRA 10m AR target, BUT that is a world class target.  If you can find a more "reasonable" target for mere mortals, like say a 50ft rimfire target that you shoot at 33ft/10meters.
caliber .177 or max .22

I will shoot PCP w/ you.  Any range from 10 meters to 30 yards will work for me.  Standing or seated.  How about a 25 yard  50 round match on standard Gamo air rifle targets?

I 'm all for a PCP shoot!  Up to 50yds or more I don't care.  I just need a few practice shots first to zero in :)

Springer up to 30yds is ok too.

I'm in, but I'll be shooting from INSIDE my shop, thank you very much!  There's still 6" of snow out back :-).  That also means I'm limited to about 45 yards at the moment.  Minisniping, anyone? http://www.minisniping.org/   Later.

Now Guys, Not being a member of the DARK SIDE, I don't have room or neighbors for it, besides, I was a diver years ago, and had my FILL of tanks :-) So I'll help out here, as I can..

Lets have a discussion on range distances thatis available to all of us to shoot (1)

How many rounds do you want to fire in any competition (2)

What Target we want to shoot (3)

Positions (4)

Then "WE" can have a match !!!!

: my input

1 - all I have is 10 meters
2 - I dunno, 20 shots like the other rifle match.  Otherwise the standard matches are 40 (junior and women) and 60 (men).  20 might be easier for a weekly casual shoot.
3 - 10 meters is the ISSF/NRA 10m AR target.  But that target is really an Olympic level target, and something larger would be better for us mere mortals.  Target should be something that is easily found (I have not been able to find the Gamo target locally), or we need the ring diameter to make our own targets.
4 - Almost all of the others are shooting standing.  But there can be multiple categories, like also rested (with a smaller target)

Having said this, it is biased by what I shoot.
There might be an option for the longer range hunters out there.

For me, anything longer than 10M is hit or miss right now.  We've gotten into the 40's the last couple of days, clear and sunny, but there's still 6+" of snow on the ground.  It was nice enough yesterday to shoot from inside my shop to the back of my property so I could rezero my Cyclone at 45 yards.  But that created it's own problems, I was shooting through a major heat haze, ever try to shoot through a mirage?  Still, I was able to keep CPH's under an inch at 45 yards.  Just for grins, I tried some RWS R-10's, NOT GOOD!  Don't know what the velocity was, but I couldn't keep 5 shots under 2".  Of course, having changed scopes around today, now I need to do it all over again.  But I'll at least try anything ya'll come up with.  Later.

: re the R10
: ac12basis February 21, 2009, 07:31:24 AM
The R10 being a wadcutter won't be very accurate too far beyond 10 meters.
Keep the round nose for the 45 yard shots.

OK All you PCP Shooters !

We are very neat to starting a PCP Match. Let's get together and decide on what we need for a good match, and have one.

If it's too cold right now, get this match ready for the better weather, we will have all the important decisions ready for shootin !
