This appears to be a pretty good buy for a shooting bench.

Don't waste your money, please.

One of the very first things I bought after my first air rifle was this very shooting bench.  First, it is not really very portable.  It does disassemble and (theoretically) fit back in a bag about the size of a medium duffle bag.  The bag is heavy and clanky to move around.  And it takes about 20 or 30 minutes to pack it away or set it back up.  Next, it is not very comfortable.  You have to straddle the center bar when you sit and the seat is too low for anyone but a small child  And worst, it is not very stable - flimsy, you might even say.   But if you want to try one out, I will sell you mine very cheap.  How about $5 plus shipping costs?

You will be far better off with a tripod rest and a folding seat.  With some minimal basic woodworking skills, you can build a decent shooting bench for around $50 bucks.

Here's the one that I bought a little while ago.  It is the San Angelo and while not ultra portable (35#) it is ultra stable.  I really like that it has decent table size, folds flat, and fits me or my 9 year old son. I really like this one:

Or you could just make one like Tommy and I did. Mine is not as heavy as Tommy's but it cost less than $30.00 to make it..:)

Yes, but mine is ambidextrous and has an umbrella.  But contrary to modern urban legend, it has no beer holder.  I built it in about an hour or two from one 8 ft 4x4, two 8 ft 2x8's and three 8 ft 2x4's, all treated lumber.

Gene, looks like you could of just put a rest on the hood of your rider mower...........now there's an idea......talk about portability !!!
