What do you do with the parts leftover from your airgun projects?
Throw 'em together Frankenstein-style into a different gun!
I saw someplace where Pyramyd Air had a deal on reman 2240's for $35.
Found a coupon for 10% off, so with shipping it was just a bit over $40.
This is my first "serious" CO2 pistol (have had several cheapy BB repeaters)
It came UPS today.
After two hours of tinkering...
and out popped Junkyard Dawg!
a remanufactured Crosman 2240
a barrel and bolt from a 1377
A front sight from a 760
A rear sight from an IZH rifle
Re-worked grips from a 1377 (lead weights added to improve balance)
An extra barrel band from the 2240 we got our son for Christmas ( he's converting it into a paintball pistol)
Valve and trigger work to come.
Shoots pretty good. Still can't get used to not pumping the thing between shots!

Now that's just plain cool.

Nice work Dr. Frankenstein! Turned out very cool actually.
I just checked PA for more remanufactured 2240's but they are out.
