: RWS metal triggers from CAP...
: WVscott March 04, 2009, 12:48:55 PM
Well, I finally got my metal trigger.  Nice polish job, but in my opinion it's an exact copy of the ruger airhawk trigger...I can't pass judgement on how it works yet as I haven't received my cut down barrel back from Paul Watts yet.  Ruger airhawk trigger on left, CAP's on the right:

Looks to me like he bought a bunch of ruger airhawk triggers and polished them.  He did a nice polish job though.  Has anyone else tried one of these?
Regards, Scott

Yup, that's definitely a polished casting. Let us know how it works.

Sooooo?  How did it work?  Can I put one on my 48?

Hi Scott, thanks for the info on the CAP trigger. I very much want to replace the junky, plastic one on my RWS model 52. Is this CAP part interchangeable? If so, where can I order it from?

I’d also like to relocate the safety to be inside the trigger guard (the only place for a safety in my opinion). Or, perhaps, delete the safety altogether. Have any forum members done this?

Marc

You can buy the metal trigger from Umarex and polish it yourself... It is the same blade that is on the Ruger AirHawk.

Thanks Gene, I’ll try that. I didn’t see the origin of this thread (I just joined recently) so I never knew what a “CAP” trigger is. Can you enlighten me please? I did write to Umarex for a metallic trigger for a RWS model 52 and they said that they only have the plastic parts. Can I be sure that these are interchangeable? Thanks,
