I have a newer B3 from Cummins. It has the dark brown finish. I want to strip it and redo it lighter... Problem is paint stripper don't seem to remove the paint they have on it. It is almost like it is plastic and not paint. I did manage to get some off in spots so now it really looks bad. About 90% of it won't budge... Any advice?? Frank

You could try a heat gun.

Just take a 4X4 SANDER AND USE 100 GRIT PAPER IT IS A GOOD WAY TO REMOVE ONLY THE FINISH WITHOUT TAKING OFF ANY FILLER USED , howie

Thanks,,, both good ideas,,, don't have a heat gun,,, maybe can find a friend that has one,, but do have a sander... Howie I know you did allot of this work... Thanks ... Frank

Sand, sand, sand.:) That's all I've ever done to my woody's including my "B". Ed

Want to thank who ever suggested applying stripper and then wrap in plastic for a day to prevent the stripper from drying out. It worked like a charm. Just have to clean it up and fine sand it. So easy... Won't mind trying another now.... Frank....
