I love them Shadows... hehe. They are so light and easy to work with. This will be my actual 4th keeper..:) I have a Shadow .22, Shadow .20 L/W Choked. Just put a new L/W .177 barrel on my third Shadow today. Or I should say CDT did it.. hehe. Got to looking on my bench tonight and there is that other L/W Choked .20 barrel sittin there wanting a home...:) Just so happens Natchez has this great sale on the Shadow's. :)
I have bought out the last two Shadow's available in my area from Wally World, so no more of them $75.00 - $100.00 Shadows left.. hehe
Dano, I will give this new Shadow 1000 a good home..:) By the way, I keep my garage locked tight with security cameras all around... hehe ...... That is where I keep me Air Guns..:) Don't get any ideas Dano hehe..............
Some may say I am nuts for buying so many Gamo's when there are many other better quality Air Guns available. I have passed up buying many of those Air Guns for Gamo's..:) I have some nice Gamo's wood stocked rifles. I love my CFX's... But I really love the Shadow's and my CFX Synthetic .177.. Personally, outside of my two PCP's I do not think there are two many other springers that could beat the accuracy I have obtained with my Gamo's at the price I have paid..:) I have found by getting a CDT Turbo Tune with GTX trigger and packing my synthetic stocks with small pieces of memory foam that these air guns still maintain the light weight that I like and absorb much of the recoil inherent with the Shadow 1000's.. Did that to my synthetic CFX and I simply love the feel of it now.
Guess I have preached enough... lol So for those of you who are new to the GTA, now you know I am a Gamo Nut....... hehe

After reading yours and the other posts, sounds like the "Santa's in the brown trucks" are going to be busy after the holiday season too. 8)

He isn't the only one I have 7 Gamo's and I am waiting on my new Stutzen to arrive Monday.
Also I have a Diana 48 that should be showing up about the same time, and working a deal to trade one of the QB's I have for a B-21, got 4 QB's and don't need that many..

ONLY 4 QB's and you feel that is too many Rich? Man I only have 2 and I feel dang near impotent, granted one of mine has so much work done to it I could say I put the cost of 6 into it and say I have 7:) Ordered my second Gamo last night though, maybe I'll have 7 of those before I'm done:)

If I can stop finding such great deals on them i would stop buying them, but there is always room for one more rifle.

Just got my new Shadow 1000 today. Took one day for deliver. Dat was fast.. hehe
Put about 200 pellets through it today. It is one of the earlier models with the small holes n butt plate and cheezy scope stop..:) No worries cause I have been there and done that... hehe
Shoots consistantly with Superdomes at 40 yards with 2" pattern. I tried Exacts and Beeman FTS pellets and really can not tell much difference at this time, except for placement with the different pellets. On the chrony the Beemans give the best FPS at around 900 fps, the Exacts at around 850 fps and the Beeman Field Target Specials 800 fps. Still to early to determine anything yet. Cocking is very rough though and the trigger sucks... lol. I am going to attemt to do a general tune tomorrow. Deburr and lube. No CDT trigger yet..:) But that will come soon... :)
This will be my first attempt to do a general tune and probably will take me all day.. lol. Have watched the best of the best Springer GunSmith for over a year now and hopefully some of his knowledge has rubbed off.. lol CDT has been good to me with showing me allot of the, DON'T DO'S hehe. Although I may be going over to CDT's crying with all the parts in my hand, beggin for help..... hehe

Today I took the stock off the New Shadow 1000... Well to say the least I was disapointed with what I found. First thing I noticed was the pin that holds the spring spacer was missing. Yep only the screw in thingy behind the trigger was the only thing holding it together. Second I noticed that the screw which holds the barrel and breech assy. together was badly mangled. Looked like someone removed the screw and put it back in for maybe a barrel replacement. You could see the screw slot edges were rolled over from screwdriver popping out of slot when tightening or loosening the screw.
Called Natchez right away and they sent me another one out today. I asked them to make sure it was new this time.... hehe before they shipped it.. I tooke this one to the post office for return credit.
Had my heart set on doing my first minor tune on a Shadow....:( Oh well, it won't be until Monday before I get another Shadow so will have to push some pellets with my other favorites this weekend..:)

Ya Fritz is a great hunting dog. I go over to CDT's allot and sometimes I go to shoot squirrels. Here is the routine: CDT holds rifle and aims. I get to pull the trigger and Fritze goes and brings the dead squirrels back to us..:)
