I'll be the first this week....maybe someone beat me to it.....forgot who...but he had posted 2 match targets in another post.....said he would be busy this weekend. I had to shoot so early in the week because I'm into TOO MANY matches.......
Changing over to the Gamo Viper...been using the Crosman Storm XT for about 3 weeks for the matches......
Gun: Gamo Viper, Scope: Gamo 3X9-40mm set at 7X, Pellet: .177 Crosman Premier Hollow Points, Distance: 10 Meters,
Position: Stand, Off-Hand, Temp: +8C, Cloudy, No Wind, SCORE: 173 1X

I shot all my matches yesterday after ending up with an unexpected free afternoon.
I must have been in a very good yet relaxed mood - I shot above my ability. Best score by 1 point but by far the best groups I've shot offhand.
((((Pistol Shooters - Please check the Open Pistol Week 2 thread. Need input or suggestions on target selection)))))
opps, forgot to fill the lines in but it's all in the subject line. Fired at 10m offhand of course, with my Talon SS.

Glad this match has been opened for a week. Shot this one on Tuesday evening just before sundown. Pouring rain today and probably most of this weekend.
Score: 180
Distance: 10 Meters - Offhand
Rifle: IZH Baikal MP512-M .22 caliber - BSA 4X32AO scope
Ammo: Gamo Hunter .22 caliber
Starting to get this rifle figured out, but I sure wish I could shoot all four targets like I did #2 and #4! :)

46- 2X, 50-1X, 46, 46- 1X= 188- 4X, Looks like I'll just have to try harder, and harder, and hardernext week ! Darn ! this is getting to be like work ! :-(

After putting in the new spring and giving it 20 break in shots, I was ready for the offhand at 10m. Winds were about 40 mph right to left and blustery. Great twaggy fun. This spring has more umph!!

The first target ss really five pellets in one hole I was so excited (except it was left of center). It was really hard to score that target but after a lot of looking I think 3 broke the 10 line and 2 did not. Since I am using dome top pellets they are harder to read. I have a bunch of wad cutters on the way and they will be here this week I hope.
All but the last target had atleast two pellet holes that overlapped.
Weather was really nice but the wind was very gusty. I had to be patient and wait for the pauses in the wind to shot.

Sometimes it only takes one shoot to make my day.... your bottom left target, center shot would have done that for me.

Standing, off-hand, 10 meters
Walther LGR-U / 177 Vogel Greens, Diopter sights
Score: 188

We had dinner guests tonight who didn't leave to almost dark. So I quickly shot both steroid and open just before dark. Boy, I really envy you guys with indoor 10 M ranges!
Gamo Hunter Model 220 .177, Tasco 2-7x32 scope @ 4X, Gamo Match Pellet, standing off-hand (in the dark) :)
-
They come few and far between Jeff but when they come they make my day!
-
An extension cord and a spot light might be just the thing in that case. Or maybe we need to start a "Quest" match -- a match shot outdoors, in the dark?! Any illumination must be provided either by the scope or a gun-mounted light source. The targets would be rat silhouettes. LOL
-
I thought 2X or whatever refered to scope power, but I'm seeing X's for open sighted guns too.
What's it all about?
-
an "X" means the pellet strikes the bull's eye without cutting a line. The number of true bull's eyes, 2X, 3X, etc. is used as a tie breaker if the score is the same.
