I finely got one today and installed it and was trying it out in 10 min. and all I can say is WOW!Spend the $32 it is well worth it.I can't belive what a difference it makes, the trigger pull is so light and easy feels like a match grade trigger with a crisp clean break.I will be getting another one for my Remington Vantage asap!
-
Hi Gary and thanks... and yes, it will work in the Remington Vantage.
-
In a word....Exchange rate..
around $70nz each at the moment
I want a couple....maybe 4 if they
will fit the Krals...being a copy of a Gamo
They should / mite / may / we'll see.
Remington Genesis....??
Charlie could always donate one for Kral testing :D
-
I put one in a Phantom about two weeks ago, - one VERY nice change to say the least. In fact that gun is in for a "Turbo Tune" as we speak.

Kiwi... The GRT does fir the Genesis!
Are you sure? Genesis = Benjamin Legacy 1000 != gamo variant
-
I believe that he is right and the Benjamin Legacy is a Gamo clone but the GRT-III will not work in it because of a a change that they made in the trigger group and safety.

I believe that he is right and that it is a Gamo clone

The GRT III trigger doesn't look like this one for the Legacy/Genesis.

-
You are right... they did make a change in the trigger group regarding the beartrap safety. The GRT-III will not work in it.
-
I must have an older Genesis then? The trigger group looks exactly like the one in a Quest/Storm
-
hmmm, i bought mine when they first came out, (benjamin legacy looks like kiwi's action). I haven't removed the trigger so I dont know for sure if the trigger is definetly different. But I can say that the rest of the gun is dfferent than my g1 or sierra pro. My gun doesnt have a scope stop and I think the trigger is plasitc Hope that helps clear some confusion.
-
My mistake!
I pulled the Genesis out of the stock earlier today and it is different. Sorry for the Mis-Information!
-
Now I just put one in a Whisper, - one very NICE change!!! ;)
-
probably b/c i dont have a credit card, and cant order one. or i would. lol. im still trying to find a way i like my stock on it. i tried it plain, carved it, painted it. now im going to sand it and start over. lol.

I bought my Crosman Quest on a lark a year ago. It was 80 bucks.
I then caught the Airgun virus. Very dangerous don't you know...
I home tuned the quest with the help of a tuner who I see hates this forum for his own reasons, and I didn't want to spend much money. I installed an orange plastic/resin insert with a screw for 8 bucks, that greatly improved the trigger, which was grindy, overheavy and just terrible as stock.
I then home tuned, deburred, relubed, etc. Installed the resin insert, enjoyed the gun for a few afternoons, and then I found GTA... I was Ruined ever since! Thanks Joe Cuz for selling me that R7 at Cobra last summer. You ruined me! :) Love the rifle still!
I gave the Quest to a friend (on near-permanent loan), who is still enjoying it immensely, and bought myself the R7, an MM B26 22 and an MM B40 177 and never looked back.
I read a lot on the Quest and took great care tuning it myself and learned a lot about springer airguns. I just never got to a GRT III trigger since all my airguns now have Rekord triggers or decent copies of them. With my bag full of the R7 B40 and 26, there's little room or desire to improve the Quest anymore. It's an ok rifle with many flaws and was greatly improved by upgrading the trigger.
I learned a lot about the innards of springers during this process. And I would not have any problem taking down my current aresenal to re-spring or re-lube.
Sadly, the process also introduced me to some degree of contention in the AG community. But here is where I post, where I trust, and where I recommend the GRT III trigger to anyone with a rifle that can take one.
For me, an $80 gun got a good deal with me home tuning and putting the resin insert in it. It became an $90 rifle. It has a good home, and so do I at GTA!
Actually, now I'm reminded. On another forum (not yellow) someone told me to be SURE that I epoxy that resin insert into the trigger group since it could be dangerous. Why? That warning came but didn't explain it. It seemed the orange insert can be dangerous? Can anyone give more info on that? PM if you must.
Thinking back, and after my further reading, I would have gotten the GRT III instead in hind sight. But an airgun only aims in one direction!
