Congrat's Ron and you can't go wrong with those B26's. :) Did Mike tune it too and I see that the cheek rest has been lowered. Ed

Yes it's tuned with a new top hat and I waited on the new style stock. It's nice and smooth, fairly quiet, and pretty accurate so far. Still puffs a little smoke but I've only shot about 50 through it.

Thanks for da reply buddy and she'll settle in and get that smoke out of her lung hehe. You know I didn't know that they were putting out the new T-HOLE stock with the lower comb, I like it. :) Ed

Accurate after 50 rounds...  Sounds like you've found yourself a life-partner!

You guys leave me alone!!! I'm going through pellets like Lays Potato chips over here!!!

The stock is SWEET!! I didn't think I would like the thumb hole but this one with the low comb fits me just right with the medium mounts and points like a dream for off-hand shooting.

SMOOOTHHHH!! Too.

I have to admit I was sceptical at first, it being Chinese and all, but after shooting Breauxs B-26 I thought I would spring for it. I'm glad I did and it was worth the wait.

Thanks Mike!!!!!!!!!!

I just ran 10 through the chrony. It hasn't settled in yet as there was a spread of 20fps. 2 shots were 645 and the 8 others were between 654 and 661 using CP's. I'm loving it!!!
: My 26 is a little finicky. Likes FTS alot.
: BumbleShot April 07, 2009, 01:43:57 PM
What pellets are you using and what works best thus far?  As mentioned in the subject my MM B26 .22 loves the FTS, said "Nah" to Superdomes and Gamo Hunters.  Doesn't much like JSBs either.

Likes the FTS like a match gun though.  .5" at 20 yards and I'm not a good shot.

Enjoy it!  Takes a while to really settler them in.

By the way, I did notice some pellets fit tighter in the bore than others.  For instance, the RWX Superdomes are sorta loose.  The FTS feel about right.

Ron, has that stock been altered? Looks like the Comb is lower than usual..

To bad you are not going to the Texas Shoot Ron. I would bring a real nice shooting B-26. Sorry Mike I just had to say it..:)

And I would probably have to bring my PitBull to watch over it so you or Randall would not try something sneaky..:)

So far with it still farting smoke it likes Crosman Premiers in the brown box. The CPHP's scatter, the Cabales scatter, the RWS Hobby's scatter, the Gamo Match and Hunter's scatter. I don't have any JSB's in .22 but so far I'm not impressed with those in my other guns for the price.

I made it to 100 shots tonight and the groups were closing in to under 1" consistant at 20 to 25 yards. I don't expect it to one hole them so I'm OK with that. It seems like it will only get better with time and the barrel gets seasoned and the seal gets set in.

I'll score me some FTS soon to see how they measure up.

Yep Gene. I'm on a 26 mission. What a nice platform for a really sweet shooting gun! I'm thinking this sweetheart will do the job. As long as I can hold 1/2" at 30 I'm OK with it. If I need to poke holes in other holes I'll reach for the TX200.

Again, just so you guys will know and understand where I'm coming from.

I WILL NEVER AGAIN OWN a PCP!! Springs are where its at. Separates the men from the boys in comps. They got some PCPs out there now($$$$$$) that you would have to actually sneeze during the trigger pull to miss a shot and that's just not for me. Been there done that and got the T-shirt to prove it.

Now if my old Air Arms NJR100 serial # 0205 with the Joe Korick regulator (the guy lives in Hawaii, hint hint) were ever to come up for sale..........

I'm sure this is the wrong place to say this. I opologize for backing out of the Texas shoot. I HAVE to be here in Louisiana to compete and cook for the 20th annual Cajun Spring Nationals. I cooked for them at the State Championships and they begged(I'm talking beg! Not just regular begging, but full blown begging) me to return to cook for them in this one. 75 shooters from all over the USA plus England and possibly Norway.

I'll get to shoot on Saturday only, 50 shots. Then it's time to go home and prep for the finals on Sunday, cooking all night. My score will be DNF but I will get the chance to see where I'm at skill wise after the first day.

I'm thinking I'm gonna suck after 12 years of not practicing, but what ever. It will be fun. My main goal is to feed them well. Plus I got a wall full of trophies to look at from the past and that's also OK with me.

You guys have fun and keep an eye on breaux. He likes the 26's also!!!
: That the first of the new stocks.....

have to buy them and add them to the rifle, not cheap but they are nice...

I was going to bring my deadly but silent B-20 .177 with a 1 lb trigger pull to the Texas shoot for you to handle and fondle Ron but I guess it will have to be another time.

I noticed the low comb. Mine had the high comb and I cut it down and would you believe I did it about like the new stock looks. Cut the top of it off and sanded everything in and rounded off. Course had to refinish the whole stock so it is also light like the picture.  And yes, they are a fine shooting air gun.... Frank

I pulled the Beeman one piece off of my HW77 and what you see in the pic has changed since then. It's now sporting a Leupold 6.5x20 EFR. I'd stay with the one piece with a scope stop to be safe. The 26-2 doesn't jump like a magnum but better safe than sorry. The Bushnel went on my HW77 .20. Who knows I may /will change that at any moment. One thing for sure, it will be a one piece mount with a stop. I hate a slipping scope.

I think a Bushnell or Burris or Leupold will hold up just fine.

I can't speak for Leapers or others cause I don't own them.

My feelings are that the scope is what you see with and trust to adjust and hold accuracy so why skrimp?? Right now the scope and mounts cost three times more than the gun.

Maybe others can jump in on other scopes. But I bet they recommend a mount with a stop or a one piece.
