Well after a grueling 5 hr drive home this morning. I'm here to tell ya it was a complete blast... can ya say PA-TING.. The 75 yd cow bell was a real treat. The motorized moving targets were great and the chance to meet all the GTA folks was an honor... Here are some pics that I took between cookin and shootin and there will be many more I;m sure, when the gang gets home and settled... Thanks Joel and Dano, it was great...
-
Cool, thanks for those.
-
Thanks for sharing Randall, All we need are some name to go with them faces :-)---Thanks, Bill
-
The tall, goofy looking guy in the light blue shirt in the middle of the back row is TCups
-
Tommy, you should know that the North Texas Airgun Militia maintains anonymity for its members. In fact, we don't even have official membership.
I will tell you that the guy between me and you is suspicious. I heard people referring to him as Gene.
I do plead guilty to having so much fun, I took no pictures myself. But I think there will be more here.
-
I'm the only guy with a beer.. lol(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-frown.gif) Everyone else was cheetin......
-
Beer??? Looks like a can of Ensure to me.
-
That or Red Bull. Randall seemed to enjoy himself ringing that 100 yard bell with the Whisper. He passed up a shot on 2 turkeys and a turkey buzzard, by the way.
-
Yes, It was a great time!
Randall, I had to put my beer down cause I was playing the guitar.
BTW - The scope on my Gamo got jarred during transportation, but oddly enough it was dead on the 75 yard cow bell!!! I rang it many times before I re-sighted.
Tommy, just watching you shoot 8, 9, and finally TEN moving targets in a row at 50 yards was fantastic! Now I know why I can't beat you in the postal matches!. LOL
It was great fun I wish everyone could have been there.
-
Yep. Just had the 2 hour dime tour over the phone. I am sooooooooo gonna be there next year!!!!
I made lots of people happy today cooking. It was good to see them enjoy my food.
But I'M the one that wants to have fun so count me in for next year. I'll make sure this time to mark my calander WAY in advance.
-
I just want ya to know... I had that dam turkey dead in my sights and was biteing my lip not to head shoot him... Just another moveing target lol.... He had the fear of god put in him when he looked left and saw 13 guys with guns trained on him.. lol It didn't take long for him ta gain flight hu....
-
Or "Turkey" Buzzard?
-
Look's like the hole in the wall gang outlaw's lol. You all must have had a fantastic time :) and now I wish that I was really there but it's nice to see some of the family in pic's :) and to see that some of my camo made it to the shoot out. Ed

Looks like Ya'll had a great time, thanks for sharing pics. Tony
-
looks like fun, too bad N texas if so far away from Pgh.
-
I think we're missing Joel's pictures. He turns Oriental for these kinds of events and that camera is almost always in use! I hit his webpage to see if he's posted yet but he hasn't. Gentlemen, I had a fabulous time! My shoulder is still sore from consecutive-gun-cocking. Let's put forth intent that we get to use Sherri & Dave's property again in the fall. It's so beautiful over there! What a purfect place for a shoot!
Gents, thankyou!
-
Yep - pretty place, Matt. And, your guitar playing/singing wasn't bad either! You really have some talent.
-
Thanks George! Much a pleasure hearing you & Jim play too! I had a really nice time this weekend. I'm tired... but it was all very well worth it! Thanks for being there!
-
looks like you guys had a lot of fun , thanks for sharing pics . :)

CaptGeorge - 4/19/2009 10:51 PM Or "Turkey" Buzzard?
George before ya got there on sunday, a real turkey ran across the range at 40 yards.. It was an intence moment for me.. My natural instincs made me zoom right in on his head.. My trigger finger was trembelin and i bit a hole in my lip trying to retain myself from making the big mistake... I shot the tree branch under the turkey buzzard so he would fly cuz some of the non hunters were having trouble spotin him up there....(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif)

-
Yep.... we had a great time while down there and I want to thank everybody for the great hospitality. And the cookin' was great. Even Gene got full 8) We're looking forward to the next one that we can make it to also. Dano really streched out for this one as well as a couple of others that worked with him. Great job guys and everybody appreciated it.

I had a great time. The setting was great dano. I need to pull a couple of the other air force owners down in October. I was outnumbered. Cant wait till the next one. Ken Shaw
BTW I am the 3rd from the right on back row with a tan cap..
-
Weather was perfect, food was great, and really felt welcomed by a bunch of people I had never met. Thanks to Dan and Joel for a great time. The only down side was the occasional distraction of someone firing what must have been a Civil War cannon over at the other end of the tables....
Let's get the Group Picture all ID'ed before the next shoot. I'm the guy in the red shirt.
-
I'm the guy top left with the blue shirt and brown jacket. I had a great time also and I'm glad so many of you could make it. Big shrimp won my vote, thanks for those Randall!
-
Thanks for sharing. Looks like a huge turnout and everybody enjoyed themselves.
-
First time in almost 2 years that I wished I still lived 5 minutes away in Saginaw... :p Looks like a good time was had by all! Wish I could have been there. Thanks for posting pics!

What are you doing with all those leaves etc.? Still have a snow bank or two around here. Looks like a good time, ...
-
We are already into summer here spring is gone and it's in the mid 80's winter in N.Texas is only 2-3 weeks long. And by the way whats a snow bank is that where you keep your snow?
-
Yes, - as a matter of fact it is!! ... We kinda move it out of the way - and then store it in case we run out.
-
I am psychically sending a message to Joel... "Post your pics Joel... do the narration... we need your pics Joel..."
Joel's Mom had a surgery following the shoot weekend so I can fully understand he's had a few things on his plate. Just looking forward to the AirGunArtisans spin on our weekend shoot!
Matt

Pix have arrived on the NTAGM site:
http://airgunartisans.com/NTAM_April09Shoot.htm
-
It sure looks like it was a great meet.... I'm still bummed by not being able to attend. :o
I'm glad that everyone enjoyed it, it looks a bit wet, did it rain at all?
-
Hey Rolad we sure missed you, hows your boy doing?Things were alittle damp from Fridays downpour but in all the weather was fantastic for the shoot out.
-
....but the only folks that had to suffer through that were DaveD, Joel, myself and a couple guys from Joels work while we set up the tent. I was pretty well soaked through by the time we left on Friday, but like Garry said it was perfect on Saturday and Sunday. It could only have been better if our two founding members (Roald and John) had attended. I took Thursday/Friday/Monday off from work so I could attend and set up, but some people, ya know, have different priorities than me....haha!!! We'll do another one, sooner than later I hope, this was a real blast. I was also speaking with David Enoch last night on the phone about setting up some kind of smaller monthly events at the shooting range in Gainesville. Also discussed maybe setting up some sort of "Redneck Field Target" course for those of us who are interested in such a thing. Maybe beer bottle caps hangin from barbed wire at 40 yards, and milk jugs at 100 yards, that sort of thing:)
-
Sorry you couldn't make it, Roald. Chris was there, ringing the cow bell repeatedly with your old B40. Why you sold that rifle, I'll never know....
-
He's doing much better thanks Gary.
I was bummed needless to say, but I'll be at the next one for sure.
-
HiBill, it would have been good to see you guys too.
Dan loved that B40 as well.... heck so did I :emoticon:
But My safe was... is still overflowing and I had to choose
one gun. It was not being used enough and deserved a better
home, sounds like it got one too :)
-
Hmmmm redneck... well that automatically includes me then :)
Sounds like a great idea Dan.
