Well ever since last weekend I have beenfoaming at the mouth for a new Air Arms S-200. As soon as I woke up on Monday morning I called Jim at Precision Air to order one. He told me that Tommy Cupples was looking at the only one he had but Tommy had changed his mind, Great for me...:) So I bought it up and got a very sweet deal. Here are some pictures of it out of the box. My scope is on the way and I am going to make a shroud for it that will extend about 4" past the end of the short barrel. Maybe I will find some other bling bling stuff to add later. I ordered a Bushy 3.5-10X36 AO from Opticsplanet. I think it may work out good for the distance that I want to shoot.

Sweet new shooter Gene! I have always thought that the S200 is one of the best, real world, PCP rifles there is. I'll look forward to reading your impressions as you get to shoot her.

Can't wait to shoot it this weekend Sis...:) The scope should be here tomorrow and after I am done with a good friends tune I am setting up targets at 10 meters and will start seasoning the barrel...:)

Thanks Bill and guys... Before I went to Texas for the shoot I almost bought an R-7 but after shooting Dave Dunn's S-200 I was hooked bad...:) If she shoots as accurate as Dave's I will be bored to tears in about 10 minutes with one holers...:)
I will get the gun all set up and take some more pics and give my over all opinion.. I all ready know how she feels to hold. Almost gets me excited... hehe

I wondered what that thing was Tommy..:) I thought it was a custom magnifying glass but I could not see anything through it.. So I adapted it to my kitchen faucet so water would just squirt out one hole. Good for knocking off dried food from my dishes..:)

Dang it, Tommy, you beat me to it :-)! I was going to try to talk Gene out of the front sight, don't need the diopter. I'm a little surprised Gene bought first, seemed like just about every time I turned around, you had my 200 :-). They really are great little do it all rifles, especially with the target stock. I do intend to get a 10 shot mag like Dan has on his, that turns a great little target rifle into a really nice little field gun.
Gene, for 10M shooting, mine really liked the RWS R10 heavies the best. The CP Match worked well also. For longer range, mine likes JSB's, both light and heavy, as well as CPH's. I think Dan said his likes Kodiaks, haven't tried them much with mine yet. Sounds like you picked a good scope for it, although I still think that Timberline is a perfect match :-). For bling, check out these guys: http://www.rowanengineering.com/products2.htm#s200triggers That's where Dan got the barrel band and trigger for his 200. I NEED one of those triggers for mine, and maybe one of the black barrel bands, too. The bling is nice, but it's not my style :-). BTW, Gene, did you ask about extra spacers for the butt and cheek piece? Later, pal, and keep us posted.

Yeah, I know. I somehow resisted. I have sort of committed to buy a match grade target pistol from Jim Edmundson (Steyr LP-1) when it comes in and I didn't think the air gun budget would bear both purchases just now. And Gene REALLY wanted it, too. But I suspect I may have one before too long.
As for the front sight, if Gene isn't going to use it, I hope you work out a deal with him. I really don't have a specific need for the sights just now, but I would hate to see them go unused by someone.

Marvin, the aperture on the Diopter rear sight on the AS 200 is fixed diameter. It is a clone of an older German design.

Hey Dave, mine has the extra plastic spacers. I would like to use wood or some rubber spacers. The tube is removable and it has a gauge on the front of tube. They sent me an adapter. Some big brass thingy but have not figuered out how to fill it yet. Does not work with my existing yoke that I use to fill all my other pcp's with. Could use some help on this..:)
