Question I have for QB -78 owners or CO2 guys in general, how cold is too cold for a CO2 gun? I live in the south(NC) where temps vary but mostly lows of 30ish to hi's of 50ish are the norm sometimes colder this winter has been milder much milder.

Mike Melick has mentioned some REALLY light valve springs and some other tricks to make them shoot at lower temps, but he also mentioned that they eat gas at that point. I would say, just from my guns that much under 60F is getting to be no fun, and I prefer 70F+. Most of mine have pretty hopped up valves too, I certainly wouldn't do any hunting with them in 50F or below unless I wanted the animals to laugh at me. Kinda odd, but in the spring I'll shoot cold gas, and in the fall I'll shoot a "springer"....funny to me at least:)

Thanks DanoInTx,
This is not the one for my 1st gun then. I'll keep my search going.
