After not shooting for about 8 months, I've decided to try it again - if the rain stops long enough that is.  Well, after reading the posts and looking at all the sites, I'm getting an itch for something in place of my RWS 460 (if I can sell it). I'm thinking Chinese and maybe getting it tuned.  Could anybody give me your thoughts on a B-30 or B40 in .177?  Also, what price are they going for now? Any opinions will be appreciated.  Thanks!!   Terry

I have a Mike Melick B40 in .22 and I love it. I also have a B30 in .22 that I tuned and installed JM guts in that I also like very much. B30 is longer and about 40 fps more powerful. The B40 has a better trigger. The B30 is bipod friendly.

Aren't you on the Roderus forum(home gunsmithing)?

I have the B40 with home tune. I like it a lot. Very accurate with JSB pellets. I consider it a bench shooter. The only draw back I see is the weight. Probably one of the reasons it is so accurate. I bought mine from Best Air guns for about $275.00 to my door. I think Mike can get a tuned one to your door for around $300.00. You do need to E-mail him for a firm price. Good luck. Which ever one you pick I think you will at least get what you pay for and from my experience with BAM rifles a little bit more.

Do you have the RWS up in the classified section? I wasn't able to see it scanning quickly.

I recently purchased a MM tuned B40 for $290 shipped. Great shooter (sub .5 at 25 yds), heavy, very good trigger. Its quickly become my fav springer. Shipped very quickly also, ordered on Fri, arrived Monday morn. Thanks again Mike...can be found at  http://airgunartisans.com/flyingdragon/
