I'm interested in getting a QB79 in .177 cal., already have a QB78 in .22. Just wondering what will happen if you remove the tank from a QB79 while the tank still has gas in it ? Will the gas escape from the gun and tank or will they seal themselfs. I'm thinking that the gas will escape from the gun but the tank will seal itself, or is the tank like a powerlet and once the seal is broken there's no turning back.
I would like to be able to remove the tank without loosing any gas from the tank or gun, can I get a on-off valve that fits between the gun and tank that will allow me to do this ?
Thanks Bill

Try here Bill....

they make slide valves, QB bulk fill kits, all sorts of nifty stuff.
I personally wouldn't suggest disconnecting anything under pressure (CO2 is at about 850PSI), it's enough to ruin your day:)
Stay safe,
Dan

Archer air has them also it's just a shut off valve that goes on the paint ball tank between the rifle and the tank. It's like 20 bucks plus shipping.

I got the shutoff valve from Archer Airguns and it works great. I use 88 gram CO 2 bottles you can get almost everywhere, including Walmart. You'll need an adapter to match the bottle to the valve. The adapter/valve combo fits the QB just fine. When it's all put together, the gun has a nice balance. You can also shoot for a long time without messing with CO 2 cartridge changes.
