: Disco Update 4. Putty and Bed linner
: ShadowShot May 25, 2009, 03:51:37 PM
Taped and putty the stock.
Let dry to a light tac and texture.
Removed tape and let dry.
Applied bed liner and letting dry for final coat.

It's ok, May be it will look better in the daylight.
I think I need a darker bed liner.
Hope your not to disappointed.

That sweet looking Paul!!!!!!  Couple of questions what lumber did you use to make the stock? I've been following this off and on and may have just missed it. 2nd where did you get that killer shroud? I'm waiting to see if I can snag a used stock Disco in .177. I have one in .22 but would like one in .177 for birds and treerats. Really nice work Paul!!!!!

Looks pretty dag gone good to me. I like the idea of the putty, to add to the grip areas. One of these days im going to make a stock for my Storm XT. I jost dont know if i can do all the inletting. My neighbor has the tools probably, i have a drill press, but i dont know if i trust myself. Thanks for sharing. I really like that stock.

Thank you guys for the complements.

I used a simple 2x6 pine board.
I knew I was going to bed line it
and I knew the pine would be easier to carve.

I am ok with the stock, but now I wish I had made a
walnut stock instead, or not did the putty and bed liner on
this one. The curves were so beautiful and my wife loved it until
I did the bed liner. She said it looked romantic. ??????
my wife must like rifles now....

The shroud is a full TKO shroud but you have to
have the RJMachine riser for it to work. The riser and
shroud is probably the main reason I did the stock.
I wanted the action to set lower in the wood so my
scope wouldn't be so high up. That and I wanted a longer
stock with a thumb hole.
