I went to a cheezy little taco joint today and bought me a pork chop sandwich for lunch. I get home and there is a 51.00 charge to a phone company called Phoneshark... Bastages kept my # and paid thier bill with it... Needless ta say Wells fargo is on top of it now and I will be reddemed my funds... 50.0 DOLLARS AIN'T CHIT.Butt I want my dam money back... Now granted tha sandwich was worth every bit of 50.00 Mmmm Awwwwww . But still right is right and wrong is wrong...

They may have been ordering pellets on that
phone call. You wouldn't want to interfere in another mans addiction would you.

Ya Randall, my daughter had that happen to her. She went to a pizza place and ordered a pizza with her debit card and two days later she noticed additional charges on her account..:) Just so happened the kid who used her number was a Judge's son..:) She got her money back real quick... hehe

Change your number!!! I got hit like that a couple years ago from a BBQ joint. These waiters can have little pocket sized scanners. When they take your card to pay for your food they just scan the card. When they get a few hundred numbers they sell the scanner to someone else that will then drain accounts, or buy stuff that never gets shipped and they pocket the money. BofA caught mine right after they ordered a $400 leather jacket and a $7000 cruise!!! I called the place they ordered the leather jacket from, it was way out in California and the guy pleaded with me to not report the charge and just let him credit me....no can do I said, I'm pretty sure he was in on the scam. These guys are pretty slick and it gets really hard to trace once they sell your number. Take care pal,

My dad had someone book a hotel with his #. It was in North Carolina on Memorial Day weekend a couple years ago. He got his money back, and got a new card.

I had that happen to me also. I got my bill and somebody had bought $365.00 worth of Billy Squier concert tickets(Long time ago.) I thought "Who the heck is Billy Squier?????????" The lady at the card company was dying laughing when I told her I would rather slam my weenie in a sliding glass door than go see Billy Squier. I got my money back.

I had my Debit card compromised so many times that I canceled the card. My bank was not helpful in resolving any of the secondary problems that are incurred when this situation happens. Also, I refuse to let my Credit card out of my sight since I had the card number stolen several times. Eateries are the worst spots to loose you Credit Card numbers. Have you ever noticed how they take your card and disappear with it when you pay the tab?
Ripped off several times in Boston. Have had to have new cards issued after each trip there. Safest place for my card use has been Las Vegas.

I avoid using credit and/or debit cards if possible. Good old paper money is the way to go.
