Looking at purchasing a Winchester 1000X and am wondering if it is a clone of some more expensive air rifle?
Can tune-up supplies (piston seals, springs, guides) be easily obtained?
Thanks in advance for all input.

It is made by Hatsan. It hits hard but the trigger is not great. Parts are difficult to get.

I have 2 of em..... extremely hard hitting, powerful rifles, matter of fact my 2 are the hardest hitting .177 rifles in my arsenal. Mine are also deadly accurate. However,,,, ya knows there's always a "however",,,,,, just be advised that out of the box they are a very "harsh" shooting rifle usually with a real bear of a trigger. Mine are still stock and I really don't mind their harsh shooting characteristics because they are so powerful and accurate... mine are outstanding small game .177 rifles :)
The wooden stocked version handles the vibration and "twang" much better than the lighter synthetic stocked version, but if you stuff the synthetic stock with memory foam you can "tone it down" a bit.
You can tune them, matter of fact there are a couple of sites online that deal specifically with tuning the 1000's.
They are not a clone of anything as far as I know,, just a basic, hard hitting .177 rifle.....
If you plan on mounting a scope on one make sure you pick a good 1 piece mount (like an "accushot), clean all surfaces very well with denatured alcohol and then use blue loc-tite on all screws and let the loc-tite cure at least 2 days before firing.....
Ok, that's it,,, I can't think of anything else to say about em......

I bought one a week and a half ago 1000XS,it does hit hard i 'm using crow magnum in mine, the other day i shot a sparrow with it and i swear i thought i dry fired, when i seen feather flying everwhere(no wind) i knew it was a hit it sounded like a 22 long rifle shell going off.Poor bird.He or she did'nt have no stomach left.Feather lingered in the air for a while. It's worth it if you stay with a 8.5 grain to 9 grain.pellet nothing lighter in my opinion or much heavier.

As mentioned above she's a hard hitting shooter. I tuned mine to smooth it out but she still has a little kick but very accurate.Ed
