If it won't catch after you break and cock your air rifle.....most likely your sear is not getting into that little hole in the piston.  Or your spring is too long or the coils too thick so that when it's compressed the piston is not going back enough for the sear to reach that hole.  Hope this helps.

where is the hole were my seer goes? idk the seer was hanging out and i pulled the pin the saftey spring is wrapped around and put it under that so uhmm help

Let me see if I can explain it; If you've put the tip of the cocking linkage in the receiver....and that tip (Abit circular) is also inside the piston then the piston is aligned correctly.  The hole (Square cut)  where the sear is supposed to go in, is about 1 to 2 inches towards the rear of the gun from the linkage-tip hole in the piston.

Use any strong plastic strip to keep the sear from falling into the slot. When properly seated the sear lever should be resting horizontally on the front part of the receiving tube (our orientation is that the tube is inverted and the trigger pack is on top with the trigger facing to the left). Sometimes it's a bit tricky to just use your fingers to hold the sear while inserting the trigger assembly that's why I came up with the idea of using a plastic strip to hold the sear lever up during insertion. Once the sear lever catches that part of the receiving tube where the nose of the sear is supposed to rest then just simply slide the plastic guide out of the way so you can push the trigger assembly all the way in towards to the left.

Hope this helps.

Pardon the trigger pack that I have used to guide you, it is not deburred and polished yet. It is just an extra trigger pack I have courtesy of another airgunner from airgunone.com

In case you still need some more guide perhaps other members can chime in. I might be away for a while coz I have to run some errands for now. Good luck gamoluver.

Jason, Look at ST's first pix,...you'll notice that the Long end of the Strut spring goes under the nimple stamped into the trigger housing as well as under the sear pin. It's a bit tricky to put these little devils back together!!! LOL's try this. Remove the sear completely out of the assembly. Press the strut pin under the stamped nimple on the housing. Then slide the sear pin in just enough to wear you can push the strut spring tail (the long end of the spring) under the sear pin. Now place the sear spring with the two ends down into the housing just enough to hold it in place, and then slide the sear between the two tails (coils). Do this with the sear pointed straight up. Then slide the sear pin though the sear, the other sear spring ring (or coil twisted for the other tail) and through the other side of the trigger housing. Just Take your time and don't get frustrated!!!! That's about it for the trigger re-assembly. As for the rest,....leave the main spring out, install the trigger assembly into the notch cut out, and with a finger, push the sear up and slide the trigger assembly forward so the little tab at the end of the sear catches the outside of the compression tube,...that little portion of tube between the cocking slot/cut out and the trigger slot/cut out. Slide the spring/rear guide assembly into the compression tube and you're ready to begin compressing everything together. Hope this helps some. You may need to read this a few times to sink in,...but it took me a while to figure it out myself. It's really easy once you get the jist of it!!!! Good Luck and Best Wishes, tjk

You'll find it eventually if you have the patience now that you're *_*_*_*_*_*ed off. Contact Crosman USA, order a trigger pack for the Quest, Phantom, or the G-1 Extreme (They are all the same and almost identical with the Gamo) and their price is very reasonable. Request for an expedite delivery ( I don't know if they will charge you an extra) and in no time a whole trigger pack is on your door step. I got mine in about 3 days tops. So, now I have a whole set of parts for replacement in case something goes wrong with my trigger.

Take a break first so you can regain your composure then look for the sear spring with a flashlight. Good luck on your hunt brother.

LOL's,...sorry Bro' but this kinda thing happens to all of us,...me included. Just relax for a minute,...then like ST suggested,..grab a flashlight,..and a magnet. I doubt that sear spring/sear went too far. But at least it's apart now. Once you find it,...everything will be hunky-dory,..the planets will align, and you'll get that rascal back together in no time!!!!! I know you can do it, I got faith in ya,...just relax and don't get excited!!! tjk
PS if it makes you feel any better,...The first time I got one of my Theobin/Gamo triggers back together,..I put the sear on upside-down!?!?!?! Can I get a Homer Simpson "Doh"!?!?!?!? Hang in there Jason. I know you're alot smarter than that trigger!!!

Here you go bruddah: http://www.crosman.com/airguns/service/contact

To make it easier for you contact this person once you got connected to their service representative: Miss Beth McClung. She's usually the girl in charge for parts ordering for warranty purposes. Hey, that would be your 2nd option. Your 1st option is still to find that flying sear spring. Have patience bruddah... haste will just increase your anxiety.

be systematic... scan your surroundings horizontally a foot at a time (Remember Tommy Lee Jones when he was hunting Wesley Snipes in the movie "The Fugitive"?) Better yet, refresh your memory, you might have remembered where was the last echo you heard that sear spring went. Your disappointment is the one clouding your mind right now. Regulate your breathing... be aware of your breathing... then when you have regained your senses go and grab that flashlight again and start looking. As TJK said, we have faith in you bro'!

They close at 5PM so just call them up tomorrow at around 9AM. Don't tell them it's for a Gamo airgun! Tell them that you just want to buy a trigger pack for the Crosman G-1 Extreme. Product Description is "TRIGGER PACK ASSEMBLY" and the corresponding part number is " B18-05-00". That's Bravo18 bro'. Good luck, at least you have your family helping you look for the flying spring. :)
