I'm as happy as a pig in sh_t !!! She looks good, shoots good, and is more accurate than I could have ever imagined. This is one sweet airgun.
The wood and finish are perfect. Bluing is rich and even. Overall fit & finish is very good. Shot cycle is smooth and quiet with very little recoil. Don't have a chrony but the power seems to be very good. The trigger is light and smooth. Did I mention she is accurate ? (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)
This gun definitely prefers RWS SuperDome pellets with SuperPoints coming in a close second.
Mounted a Leapers 3 X 9 X 32 AO Scope with Accushot Medium mount. Although I got the new lower comb stock, the scope is just a little too low for me. I have the High mount ordered & it should get here tomorrow.
Complaints ? Just one. The automatic safety. Beginning to think I will never get used to pushing off the safety for every shot. Get perfect sight picture, execute perfect trigger pull -- then nothing happens ! (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-yell.gif) Lower the gun, kick self in butt, take off safety and start all over again. Next shot -- same thing. Wondering if the automatic part can be disabled and still use it as a manual safety.

I wouldn't go fooling around with the safety. It's there for a reason, and accidents do happen. It doesn't take long to synchronize yourself into pushing it to the off position when shooting. Kind of the same way you learn to aim with both eyes open,.....practice!!!!! Congrads on the shooter!! tjk

Don't have a B-26 , but have another springer with an auto saftey. In time I got used to it and now I find that I use the manual safety on other guns a whole lot more.

I agree, leave the safety as is,, in time it will be second nature to push it off prior to the shot.....

I got one of Mike's B26's and I pick it up more than any other springer except for lately cause my neighbor had trying to thin the heard on his side of the street. Great gun. Leave the safety alone it will become normal the more you shoot it. Good luck.

Did you get this tuned? where if so?

Mike Melick at Flying Dragon Air Guns. He sells them and performs lube tunes on them as well. You can find his link in the GTA Mall.

of this forum. If you have a question or idea just post it. Chances are someone has already tried it or has a good reason why it will not work.
That said, I was not thinking of disabling the safety, just the automatic reset. Make it like my old Gamo -- use it manualy when needed.
By the way, did I mention that she is accurate? (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif)
Also, the high mount came today and it is perfect (for me) on this gun.

Just wait until you get the barrel run in, should shoot groups like that at 20 yards...there is no way to make it a manual safety only thing would be to remove it altogether which is not a good thing, you will get used to it...
