Just got done turbo tuning two of my guns, the Viper and the Hunter Elite, thanks to Maccari springs and seals. A special thanks to CDT for all the information on his website. The GRT triggers are unbelievable! I recommend that everyone try to tune their own guns - it's not as hard as it seems. My tip - build your own spring depressor; Charlie does show on his website how to build these. Thanks again for everyone on GTA for all the information I have received in the past 6 months. I hope you all enjoy the pictures of my new target range I have built - target is being shot at 37 meters.( scopes Leapers 6-24x50)
The building of the target range: It is constructed of 2 sheets of 3/4'' plywood with an inner 1/2'' changeable piece of plywood. It includes 2 Gamo squirrels, 1 Gamo target, 1 bell, 6 of the targets are redesigned Gamo targets (animals). The Pigeon and the Turkey have a 90 degree pipe welded to them which causes a ricochet from the pellet that hits the bell. The Ram, Rabbit, Pig and Rooster have a flip up washer with a hinge that can be shot two ways - one pellet in the middle to knock the hinge up, and then another shot on top of the animal to knock it back down to its original position. A special thanks to my neighbor's real estate company for "donating" the sign :p . The real estate sign has a 1/16'' steel plate to deflect pellets downward with two 1/2'' foam blocks to muffle any sound it may produce. Lights will be installed in the near future.
If anyone has questions regarding the tuning or my target range, feel free to ask! I'm more than willing to give back the same amount of information that I have received here.

Tim, I would really be interested in where I could purchase a couple of those bells. I assume they are steel or something that will hold up to pellet shots. Any help would be appreciated.

Ya I know..:) I have hunted in garage sales and thrift stores for a couple of years..:) Thanks for you response and for sure you have a great setup for target shooting. Plus the safety issue. You have covered all angles. Thanks for sharing.

You have one heck of a neat set up to say the very least. Good going.

If you're "real fast" Gene, - maybe you local Fire Department won't miss one.

You know what would be a "real" challenge using bells? ... Well, living where you do it might be a surprise. I was in a sports shop today, - and they still have some ice fishing stuff out. Ice fisherman use small bells on their set-ups to tell them when they have an "interested fish". Now, these things do ring, but are real small, - a nice challenge. ;)

Thanks guys for the links and ideas. I am looking real hard. I plan on hanging them in the trees out in my shooting range.

If you have a really old gas station near you they might have one of the old air powered bells they would sell....Bossie has one around her neck but farmer Jones gets mad when I shoot it, says she doesn't give good milk when I do that...

Gene, I shot my first BSA Lightening (177) on Saturday....it truly is a great shooting rifle, no wonder you're always giving them the thumbs up..
-
Well Robert I sure love shooting mine. Peak is the one who really turned me on to beezers. And the first one was the Lightning. And I was on a role after that..:) Paul "Shadowshot" and his friend came by last month and his friend Tony could not put down my BSA Lightning..:) He had test shot several of my other air rifles and ended up just shooting the Lightning all day long..:)
