Just a little while ago. Nothing major though. I ordered a rebuild kit for my Hill pump and some TSI 321 synthetic lube from Pilkington Competition. Great service and quick shipping. I figured I've had my pump for pushing 5 years now, so putting in new seals was probably not a bad idea.

Hi, Nathan. A couple of questions.........I just got my Hill pump from Pilkington in May, so I'm curious about your impressions of the pump after using it for 5 years. Is it as rugged as some say, and have you had any problems with moisture?  I've read on other forums that the Hill will suck up a lot of moisture even with the DryPac. Also, what's the synthetic lube for ??.................Raoul

This is what the filter looked like when it came out of the gun!  WOW!  The pump must have got a little hot once or twice pumping up my guns.  Most all of the seals looked to be in real good shape. I replaced the spring and valve (they can be seen in the picture above, in the lower left bag w/ the new white filter) and a few seals after cleaning up the entire burned plastic residue. Got it all back together last night and tried it out. I was able to top off my AA 410 ERB with no apparent problems.
Raoul,
sorry I did not respond sooner.  I believe the Hill pump to be very reliable. I have used it exclusively to fill 2 PCP over the years with out a single leak or problem. Heck, it just kept pumping along even after I melted that plastic filter and I have no idea when that was! I don’t have a moisture issue here in Colorado, as our air is dry year round. I opted for the Dry-Pak option just for additional insurance, not that I probably needed it and it wasn’t that much extra.  I got the TSI 321 because it’s not supposed to harm plastics or leather.  Plus I like to try the latest and greatest stuff. That’s why I have several barely used bottles of stuff laying around. I may try lubing some pellets with it also.
HTH
Regards
Nathan

Up here, in the Northeast, we can get some pretty humid summers. I'm hoping that the DryPac can take care of that issue. Thanks...............Raoul
