The front screws kept coming loose even with Lockite on them, and the groups kept spreading out.
Every time I snugged them down, the groups got tight again.
The problem was everytime I tightened the screws, and I wasn't cranking down, I could hear the wood crack.
The stock seems to be really soft wood. Now it has completely cut through the stock, and the barrel just flops around.
Can I fill the hole with wood filler, re-drill and counter sink the hole ? Or, is there too much stress at that point to hold it in?

Mac1 sells bushings for the front mounting screws on the RWS 350 air rifles. It will intail using a bottom drill the size of bushing. Drill the stock holes as close to center as possible and insert the bushings then the mounting screws. It is best to use a fresh batch of blue loctite for the screws. Make sure you clean the threads on the bolts and threads of the action with acytone. Then us the loctite.
Maybe someone will chime in with a better solution. Or you could just buy a new stock from Mike M. or Best Air.

Maybe something like this it's a finish washer and laps over the hole or else you could possible drill the hole out a little and fill it with epoxy resin then redrill it to the screw size the stock was before the screw pulled through the wood. howie

I think Gene and Howard have made some great comments and advice,....and like stated before, you could always call Mike for a replacement stock as well. Personally, I like allen head bolts/screws. better controlled torqueing without the need for loctite. You can get them in all varieties and head shapes as well. Example, a wide flanged pan head,a half depth head, a countersink,...which would work great with Howards suggestion for a smooth finish if you don't want a gaudy utilitarian look,...like I do!!! LOL's The sky's the limit!!!! Good Luck with your fix, tjk

I just had a other thought on how to repair your holes in the stock I am not sure how good you are in inletting wood but if you can get a couple of bisquets the kind for joining wood together they are a kind of plywood and are stronger than the wood in your stock and epoxy them into the stock from the inside inletteng then so they are on the same level with the inside of the stock they would let you have a stronger place for the screws to but against or if their is enought wood to go in from the top with a bisquet cuttet you could just glue and slip them into the stock reinforceing the stock

Ihave R9/HW95 front stock screwcups with allen screws fitted on my B26-2. Never had a problem.

A lot of good ideas so far. I like the idea of the R9 screw cups and the RWS 350 bushings as a permanent fix.

Those "finish" washers should be at any decent hardware store..Even Lowes has them here...

The stock screw cups are definitely available there. Beeman, Straitshooters etc all have them listed.

Airguns of Arizona does not have those in stock, tried to order them a couple weeks ago and was told,"Out of stock, and don't plan to get anymore". I called Mac1 and ordered his version of the same thing for $9.95 plus a couple bucks for shipping. They were easy to install, seem to be stout, doubt they will come loose, and I got them in just a couple days...I highly recomend them. The advantage these have compared to finish washers is that they actually go through the stock holes and make a sort of "piullar" installation. Would be pretty hard to pull these through your stock without breaking it in half. Hth!
