Let's get this party started!
Missed the 3rd shot, so I just counted the target it hit as zero and shot again. I'm starting to understand my rig, one of these days I'll hit 'em all. They're just so tiny at 4x and I definitely shake a wee bit. :)
RWS Diana 34
RWS 4x32
RWS Superdome 0.177
30yd Benchtarp
87F, partly cloudy, 0-7mph wind, light skeeters
Score: 160 / 200

And you started it off with a bang! Good shootin, especially with a 4x scope, Benchtarp, and skeeters..way to go Goat!!!!

Thanks Nova. My epiphany made an improvement in my shooting this week, that's for sure.
As small as it is, I'll take the 4x over open sights for this match any day. The cross hairs completely obscure the dot, which is just kinda weird, but it works well enough. :)

For most of my springers, this would be OK, but . . .
This was with my Slavia CZ-634, .177 w/ Bushnell Trophy 4-12X 44mm AO at 30 yards
Beeman FTS pellets
With most springers, this would be OK, but, something seems to be wrong with one of my very best springers. It was getting flyers (some off the paper) with JSB Exacts! What the heck! Switched to FTS which have a bit tighter fit, re-zeroed, and had some improvement, but still, I had 3 or 4 "zero" scores, all high and right and it wasn't grouping well. Checked the scope and action screws --OK. So . . .
I took the CZ-634 back inside and pushed a dozen small round patches saturated with GooGone through the barrel from the breech end with a .17 Dewey rod and jag. I got an amazing amount of what looked not like lead fouling, but "tar-like crud" out of the barrel. Then I pushed another 8 or 10 dry cotton patches until these were coming out almost clean. Then I took some J&B bore polish on a single patch and pushed it trough several times. The another 8 or 10 dry cotton patches until they came out clean. Then one more GooGone and a three or 4 more dry patches. The barrel now seemed squeaky clean. I shot three 20-shot matches (the score is from the second of three) immediately after cleaning with much improvement, but still an occasional flyer. It may need some time to re-cure the barrel with a bit of fresh lead. It may all be in my head, but I think the rifle is shooting just a bit harsher with an occasional different spring twang from time to time. I am wondering if it is getting "dry" and needs some more lube or if, perhaps, I may have a broken spring.

My first time to do any shooting at this distance and it is F U N! I used my new scope and it sure helps my old, tired eyes see the small bulls on this target. I have tried to shoot this before using a 3x9 scope without AO, and just couldn't focus on the bulls. Sooo, I found out the scope is a winner.........and I found out the gun has some issues. Mainly, I think it is underpowered for this range. The first couple of shots I was impressed with the scope because I could actually see the POI when the pellet hit the target. Then I noticed that I was able to see the pellet in flight for about the last 5 yards.....straight on and at the last second falling off like a curve ball. The gun has already proven that it is accurate at shorter distances, but I may need to use another gun in this match. Guess I need to go shopping.....lol.
Sorry I posted this so late.
