Hello.
I just found your great forum and wanted to say hi. My name is Mike and I'm an unemployed corporate pilot. Been out of work for a little over one year now. Just no flying jobs here in Middle Tennessee.
I have a Gamo Big Cat and really enjoy shooting it in my backyard. The BC does a good job except for the trigger. I hope to be able to buy a better trigger when I get another job.
I'm enjoying the good information that is coming from the members here. Every little bit helps. I'm probably like a lot of you. I must have shot a million BB's from my Daisy when I was a kid. I didn't even shoot my eye out. Didn't shoot airguns again for 40 years and have really enjoyed getting back into the sport. It seems a lot more complex now than it did in the 60's.
Well, best to all of you.
Mike

Hello, Mike. I know what you mean. As a youngster all you cared about was getting a gun to shoot "stuff" with. Now with a few decades of wisdom under your belt you are on a quest for accuracy, smoothness and power. There are so many choices and with the Internet, a wealth of information at your finger tips. It's like the commercial; "Bet you can't have just one".

A hearty Welcome Aboard Mike from another Mid-TN'er.
Hello Progun. I'm in Murfreesboro. Where are you?
-
Hello, Mike, and welcome to the GTA.
-
Just north of Nashville in Robertson County.Lived in the 'boro for my college years 73-79.I hardly recognize the place nowadays.Used to love the City Cafe.I have a friend in Hendersonville,NC also a pilot.Same boat as you.Don't be a stranger.

Mike, I forgot to mention whilst we're all welcoming you aboard, about that trigger on the Big Cat, you can get an aftermarket trigger upgrade that will transform that BC into a much better trigger. It's called a GRT111 trigger and you can get it from CharlieDaTuna's web site.Cheap too and you can do it yourself in about 5 minutes. You should check it out.You won't regret it.
-
Welcome aboard.
Hope you land a job soon.
No pun intended.
-
Hello Mike and welcome:) I also recomend you concider the GRT-111 TRIGGER, I have 4 of them now and perfect. Tony.
-
Thanks to all of you for the warm welcomes. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from you guys on here.
I've read great things about the GRT trigger, but it is just not an option right now. It's hard to justify spending $30 on my hobby, when I'm not working. Hopefully another flying job will come along and I'll get going again.
