Hey guys, I was wanting to ask what seal would be best for a Gamo,Viper? In the breech position. Any info on size and material best suited for durabillity and performance would be great, there is no wear on the factory one after several hundred shots but I would just like to have a few backups. Thanks AKJC1977

Best to use a Gamo original replacement seal. That is what I use when replacing them.
-
and how do you go about getting a Gamo seal? They hardly ever answer the phone.
-
Order it online....:)

Thanks Gene. I'm guessing that it would be a small barrel o-ring? They have medium and large there also. I would think that the whisper family would all use the same size breech seal. Where the heck would you use a medium or large barrel seal?

On Gamo's web site look for accessories then forRifle Spare Parts. Themedium size that fits the Viper Doc.
-
Couldn't you just go to the local hardware store and buy the same O ring? For about $.40?
-
It is not an O'Ring you see. It is about 1/4" long and sits deep in the brech block.
-
Use a O-ring...make a spacer to go in the bottom of the hole....
or stack a few O-rings
-
Which one fits the Whisper?
Thanks
-
The medium fits the Whisper.
-
Does the Shadow use the large?
-
Hey Gene, are all Gamo breech seals similar to the Viper`s.....a 1/4" longhollowed out cylinder? Or is it just in the "Shadow" line? Just curious.
-
My Shadow1K uses the large size as ordered from Gamo. I've replaced it once or twice. They hold up for a long time.

Thanks davee.
