In a post below I asked for information on a TF-49 Contender. I was told that it is a Chinese rifle from 'Shanghai' aka 'Industry Brand'. As I have the address, I went there. As soon as their site came up "Norton anti-virus' advised me that it had found & deleted a high risk virus called 'downloader'. Even though Norton advised me that it had deleted the virus my computer was responding very slowly so I turned it off & restarted it.

Yes it was Vince. With the addition of { Product/EN/index.com }. I don't know if that means anything.
It also may have been coincidental that Norton reported the virus (trojan horse actually) at the same time as I connected to that site.

Funny, I just hit the same shanghai site that I've also hit many times and had my AV software go nuts too...seems to be some VB scripting...I dunno, but I ended up having to restart also.

Yes these are scripts that put key loggers on your computers as soon as you enter there sites. They probaby are just tracking which sites you visit, but still not desireable to have passed on to your computers. Alot of these scripts log all of your key strokes and many of the antivirus software does not pick them up. So you end up with a load of them in your registry and system files. These after time will slow your computer down etc etc. The worst ones are the key loggers that track your on line purchases by capturing your credit card numbers etc and sending that info back to the source for decription. I use a couple different secure softwares that are specificly made to watch for these, plus a double fire wall..:) Everyone should be aware that this is happening through many web sites that you may visit without knowing.
Good Luck
