Last night I shot one of my best groups with my 61/2" Smith and Wesson 624 44 spl. I used a 240 gr lead swc with 6.4 grs of unique...shot a 12 shot group of 3 inches with a two hand hold at 25 yards! I have a broken right wrist and cannot even pick up the revolver with my right hand...but I can shoot well using a two hand hold (right hand hold) if I pick up the big Smith with my left hand. It is hard, but I still can cock my under-lever guns...and shoot them. I can't do it with my barrel break magnum guns, but can with my RWS 46, and RWS 460 magnum. Even with a bad wrist, and connective tissue damage in the arm...I shoot my air guns (some of them).

GOSH Douglas,
What are you doing to yourself ????
That's fine shootin for a fellow with a broken wrist though, I might have to give it a try, if practice doesn't help me. LOL
I hope you are taking care of it ??? But it sounds like you have a funny way of doing it !!!
Now Take Care, And Let It Heal Up Some !!!

Dear Bill Wolfeden:
Thanks for the nice reply to my Broken Wrist post. Yesterday I shot both my 624 44 special, and my 83/8" 629 44 mag with my bad wrist. I used a 240 swc and 8.0gr og Unique in the 44 mag. I was shooting my Marlin model 60, and my CZ 452 22's bench rest at 100 yards...so I shot about 24 rounds in each of the big Smiths...I could hit jugs at 100 yards with a two hand hold...but it did hurt! Today it really hurts...and I have to shoot a $2000 fireworks show at the local baseball game tonight! I will be using 3 inch shells...but it is hard to drag the racks around with the broken right wrist...but it has to be done...the Army has a term for it...tough s..t! I am looking forward to the start of school this fall...teaching my physics and astronomy classes won't be hard on my right hand.
