Thought this was interesting info for us "1377 people" that don't mind the pumping part:) I fired 5 shots through crony and got the average FPS, using different amount of pumps . note also that the spread was no more than 18 fps max for all strings most were less. 2 pumps=331 fps, 4 pumps=432 fps, 6 pumps=508 fps (best consistent), 8 pumps=558 fps, 10 pumps=585, 12 pumps=609 fps, 14 pumps=637 fps, 16 pumps=654 fps.
The 1377 is great iron sight air pistol and very accurate, way more accurate than me:) I do not believe the standard sights on the 1377 allows it to reach its full potential! So I am going to order a steel breech replacement from crosman so I can experiment with better iron sights and see what happens:) Hope see more 1377 people in the multi pump target arena:) Tony.

Tony/Magnum.....here's what I find with my 1377; at 5 pumps or less the pellet shoots left....over 6 pumps the pellets go right. I guess it have to do with the rate the pellets' spinning. And yes, the original rear sights sucks BAD. You mean we can order and replace the breech? I would like to put on a Weaver rear sight with micro adjustment....I had seen one that fits on a dove tail.

Stanley,
Here is what i ordered to fit a 1377 :) http://www.crosman.com/airguns/accessories/custom/1377SBPK I am not planning on changing the front sight , going to wait and see if it works. I may have to file a flat on it an put a treaded pin if it's to low! . I have a spare williams rear sight that came with my 2300s so will try that out first as rear sight. I see also that PA has some good rear sight options also:)
I am planning on sticking with open sights for this target match. It makes sense and just like the open sight challenge with my 1377...it leaves me tons of room for improvement LOL:) Tony.
Oh BTW I forgot to mention, I tested with crosman hunting dome point 7.9gr pellets from dicks sporting goods:)

Thanks for the link...I'll check it out later.
The .177 Crosman Hunt (Dome) works well with my 1377 at 10 meters. I had shot a few matches with them.....only thing is that they don't make a nice round hole in the paper, so I switched back to wadcutters.

I just ordered a steel breech from Crosman. I would like to get rid of the stock sights, maybe put on a LPA MIM or Williams. I worked on the trigger some, sandpaper on surfaces and hand compressed the sear spring. Simple steps but really made a difference in the trigger pull. Therman

just sold mines to my buddy did a steel breech replacement with a bsa red dot scope if you need to replace the plastic grips see http://www.rbgrips.net and see a guy named ralph good luck

mines liked crosman pointed pellets and beeman wad cutters

I didn't polish the trigger and sear.....only squished the sear spring abit....and my scores improved alot. No more of that 18 lb. heavy pull.....

its a nice gun but after a month got tired of the pumping 10 times so i got the browning 800 mag with a leapers reddot scope and love it.
