: ANS Regulator Pressure Setting
: Portland Jon August 07, 2009, 05:59:20 AM
Hi Guys

I have just bought a used ANS reg that is set at 1100psi and I want to turn it down to 850psi. I know I have to remove some shim washers but how many?

Thanks

Hi....theres a wee bit more to it than just removeing washers..
The belvue washers that adjust the PSI setting...
you will see there are 2 diffrent types  "flat & coned"
The amount and order of the stack is what adjusts the PSI...

It has been years since I played with one...the design
may have changed...hope so they are a pain in the a$$
to adjust...

Try this link Jon: http://www.network54.com/Forum/583201/message/1201998164/Reg+mod+pictures

I believe he's showing an ANS regulator. You could also build a test gauge rig out of HPA/Paintball on/off valve and a 1/4" gauge of your choice.

Good luck!

Thanks Preez, just what I needed. I guess I should have asked you first as you have been so helpfull. Looks like I need to remove two washers then, I'll try that and test it. The QB79 is completely stripped at the moment so it will be a while before I get it back together.

Thanks again

Jon
