After the obscene profits are squeezed out of medicine and food delivery, the next target can be education.
There should be a "public option" at all schools. Private schools should admit a cross-section based on race, gender, and *_*_*_*_*_*ual orientation, balanced for income levels. Those admitted "privately" can pay whatever the market will bear, others get the same $5,000 in one payer federal reimbursement. All students will have an option to attend any school. No biased pre-conditions like IQ testing; no interviews or essays to allow selection by the Republicans and other evil establishment discrimination.
Course majors will be chosen for each student by the DEA. This will be based on the needs and economic imperatives. Once there are enough MD degrees given, the cost of medicine will drop below car repair.
Tuition and fees above the $5K limit will be taxed at 35% to fund the tuitions for those below the poverty level. It is time that the ivy covered walls become good old cinderblocks, and the exclusive walls of establishment education are broken down for good.
Professors will not earn lavish salaries, and they must put in work at local community colleges, or lose the federal support they receive through their newly established approval process, which will control all degree plans and course content. Their tenure will be approved annually be a committee of students chosen randomly, so it will be necessary to win the people's favor, and the "establishment" will no longer be permanent. New professors will also have student review committees, with leadership chosen by popular vote of the student body. Democracy in action!
The current system favors wealthy so-called "natives", so all residency requirements will be eliminated. That's state, local, or national.
Grades will be an option, with pass-fail options for all students and for all courses. Grading patterns must not show any bias for age, ethnicity, gender, or *_*_*_*_*_*ual orientation.
Within a few years a truly fair educational system will be established that teaches vetted dogma in a way that all students can learn equally, regardless of the old ethnicity and language barriers defended by those who fear change and cling to "values" of the past.
Change NOW!!

You kid, - but keep an eye on education "down the road" a tad, he's going there. BO has already taken over the banking, financial and automotive industries, - he's now in the process of nationalizing the health care industry also, it's only about 17% of the entire economy. ... Don't think for a second that "educational reform", pay-offs to teachers unions - isn't in the cards, - it is!

As someone told me, "kidding" always contains some truth. And of course, I think Obama will attempt to extend control over education. It's already the case that federal subsidies to state and local government are major pillars in education and in food programs.
It's certainly true that a real left winger like Obama would like Federal (Democrat machine) control over education to the greatest possible extent, and will use any means they can to achieve it.
As a Republican, I favor state's rights, and strongly disfavor any extensions of Federal authority by means of funding, legislative fiat, regulation, "entitlements", or other indirect methods. It should have never begun, the taxes required to support this are inappropriate, the mechanisms and programs that have been established are creeping socialism, and they are NOT intended by the Constitution.
