Bought a 1377 in parts a few months ago. Manufactured September 1992.
Has seen some abuse to put it mildly. Since the plastic slide breech was kaput a previous owner decided to weld the barrel to the airtube. The sleeve was damaged so it lost air when shooting. The front sight was kaput as well. None of that had been mentioned by the seller. It wasn't expensive so I took my loss knowing spare part would be available by modding my other Crosmans.
Replaced some damaged screws, the breech and bolt, the sear, the sear spring, the trigger, placed 2 stock sear shims on the sear pivot, placed 2 delrin trigger shims on the trigger pivot (reduces side to side play of the trigger and sear), installed a new front sight and a 14" .22 barrel + breech that came from my backpacker, the steel bolt came from a Crosman steel breech kit. To top it off I installed the front end of an SSP250 shroud as a crown protector, fixed with a grub screw, the screw hole was originally used to install the SSP250 front sight.
I enjoyed working on the 1377 today and it does shoot quite accurate.

Tnx guys!
The picture in the openingpost has been altered so above it's not shown aspect ratio anymore, here's how she looks:

Ordered a custom short/sleak copper muzzle brake to replace the waste piece shroud and clipped the old trigger spring so it's a bit lighter now.

It lacks a bit of power, tested with a piece of wood, the CB9 penetrated completely, the 2400 almost, the 2289G almost and the 1377 above merely entered, no skirt sticking out though.
Needs a new breech screw which I hope to receive next week, together with some other goodies.

Did a wood test this afternoon, to check the power. Wasn't very good. Took it apart again to discover the top sleeve didn't have a tight fit where it engages the barrel. Wrapped some ptfe tape around the top of the sleeve which seems to have solved the problem.

If you don't mind pumping a 1377c is a good pistol. Will shoot 600fps @ 10 pumps.
The muzzle brake arrived (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)
