Looks like a very nice air gun. I would not mind owning one of these..:)
-
I agree it's a looker. What is your opinion on how long the polymer coated breach area will last being worked against the steel compression tube?

She is a beauty Gene !
I would like it to have a shorter barrel though, it looks too front heavy ! :(

You know that I have a soft spot for those ROYALS brother Gene. :o :) Ed
-
Uhhh...so it's a Whisper in a wooden stock?
-
I am in agreement with Bill, except the barrel is not all that heavy because of lack of steel. Just a rifled thin tube covered in Poly. Not like the older Gamo's which utilized the full steel barrel. These new barrels have tendency to bend easily. The poly breech is not the perfect setup for a break barrel in my opinion either. But if maintained properly and not abused they can be very good shooters. I would prefer an all steel rifled barrel on this new model..:)
-
I got one of those, without the checkering on the forestock... sweet shooter...
-
I also have one of those
-
Wouldn't the wooden stock make it heavier? That is what I like about the Gamo rifles they are nice and light! However, those are beautiful!
BTW, I hope I never have the problems some folks have mentioned with their Gamo rifles. Mine has been a dream it is so good.
-
Wow, That is nice Gene. Any idea on the price? I would guess bout $300.00.
-
With my wooden stock I'm still at 6.6 lbs Its a dream...
-
What stock and gun are you talking bout? A whisper Royal?
-
That's a first....a whisper Royal. That entire setup in the pictures might run ya about $275-300 atleast....However, I have never seen this type of setup before. It does look like a shooter indeed.....Hopefully they have that in a .22 cal setup as well! Nice find Gene =]

Its not a first... I invented it 1.5 years ago.. I hate synthetic stocks so I put a wooden 440 stock on mine and WALA. there ya have a whisper Royal.. And yes its .22 cal...

Don;t know if the Classic is about the same as the Royale, but there's a plug for these at a good price on the Bargain forum.

The "Classic" is OK, but it doesn't have the recoil pad or the checkering of the 440 Hunter stock that most here have used...looks sort of like a youth stock......not a big deal, I'm just sayin'.......
-
whisperer royal is this like a cfx with a MuzzleBrake???not sold in the states????
-
more like a regular whisperer just with brown composite stock nice you should see the socom series.
-
This is just a Whisper Express/Shadow dressed up in a wooden stock. The CFX also has a Royal version as well, which is basically a CFX with a wooden stock that also has the .22 version as well. Good day =]

got ya still looks nice how is the trigger???
-
Trigger is the same old GAMO style....no change and won't be any time soon. As long as it works then it'll last ya, however I'd slap a GRT on there pronto =] Also that being said, some people have gotten the better side of the GAMO triggers, I don't know how or why but theirs are crispy. So that in itself defies all logic what so ever....

I like it. I also like the CFX Royal.
