I got started on Yer stock today Buddy,,, this one is gonna be extra nice!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)I cut off your old "Butt" & gots Yer new adjustable one installed complete with the white spacer you reqested. That adjustabe pad you gave me to put on it is AWESOME!! I had to cut it down about a 1/4" all around "but",, she is fitting SWEET now!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif)Gots a few more tricks up me sleeve on this stock for Ya Pops,,,,, stay "tuned" to this Gate!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)"Son #2". This stock is gonna be really nice Gene. After I sanded/stripped the old finish off there was hinding under all that one of the prettyest pcs. of wood I have ever seen!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)The grain & figure is simply spectacular!! Ah, Timmy you are so dang good. You are so meticulous Son. Can hardly wait to see her all done with all your surprises..:) I have had the opportunity to see Timmy's work up close and I have to say that Timmy has some gifts that only God could give him.

As you say, she has some great markings.
It always amazes me that they would cover up pretty wood with that" crud cover all"

Well,, I got me old "Butt" down off me roof early today (New roof project)(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif). I sure was happy to get me feet back on flat ground I decided to spend a couple hours on me "Papa Bears" stock!! I still gots "Tips" ta put on & lots of sanding to do,,,, but I am pleased with the grip reshaping & extension.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif) Lots ta still do,,, but I plan on "Gettin Her Done" before Me "Papa Bear" shows up for me Fun Shoot!! Timmy it is looking so sweet..:) The new butt plate fits like a dream. Blends in greaaaaaaaaat..:) Can't wait to see it all done and I think I will have a new action coming from David Kirby to put in her..:) Also David is sending the original butt plate for the Cloned FWB-300 stock. I will ship the hardware to you on Tuesday. Thank you so much son for all your hard work. Remember your work never goes without a reward..:)

Got me ole "Butt" down off the roof & was so happy to get back on level ground I got Genes stock out & got to work on it again. I had already cut the front yesterday & epoxyed on the "White" maple spacers on so proceeded to drill the reinforcing dowels today & add the walnut extensions.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)Got em all epoxyed on & will be ready to carve/sand em tommorow after curing overnight. This one is "Shaping Up" to be my best ever.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif) Looks kinda rough & "Cluby" in the pic but,,, the joints are among the best I have gotten yet. I really like the sanding shaping part. Some carefull inletting tommorow & the outside shaping is a "No Brainer"!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)More pics tommorow. They look like big ole ugly "Blocks" of wood in this pic. All,s I see are two nice small pcs of walnut begging me to get ta shaping/sanding on!! I got em shaped up & rough sanded today. I got the inletting all done for the tube & clearance of the breach block screw. The ends extend beond the tube so it is inletted to hide the end of the tube.(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)All the "Construction" hard part is done now,,,just some final hand shaping/sanding & she will be ready for a slick finish!! Not sure of what route Im gonna take on the finish "color" yet,,, Gene said he did not want it "Blonde"?? (http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cry.gif)Ok,, I will not go "Blonde",,,,, but it is gonna be a VERY light stain!! I also extended the butt today to match the grip ext & forearm extensions!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif)The beutey of this add on is: The walnut & white wood spacer are epoxyed together. They are NOT epoxyed to the stock. 2 screws inside under the butt plate white spacers hold it on. This means,, the walnut/white wood spacer can be removed & Gene can use only the adjustable Morgan butt pad & white plastick spacer if he finds the l.o.p. too long!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif)If you look at the pic close you can see I shaped it so everything would match up either way!!(http://../jscripts/tiny_mce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif) Man I LOVE doing this!!!!!
